We had originally ordered another brand online, but it arrived dented and with quality issues. So we purchased this American Standard sink through Home Depot. The configuration, material, gage, etc were all the same as this sink. The price of the first sink was 2/3 of this one from Home Depot This sink feels lightweight compared to the other one (it has an extra reinforcing strip around the underside of the rim). The soundproofing sprayed on the underside of the sink is a very light coating and banged up in some places. It seems they have implemented a cost-savings on this sink model by making the sink out of two pieces of metal and welding down the middle. I am not sure whether or not this makes the sink stronger or weaker structurally, but the weld fixturing has left a series of small dents across the back rail of the top surface. There are couple of nicks or scratches, or maybe even pits across the front rim of the sink. If it is pitting, that could indicate poor quality base material and lead to the stainless steel actually rusting or corroding. Finally, the material surface between the right and left is quite different, again not sure if it is in the base material or a result of the processing. My summary is that if I had received the first sink as it was intended to be by design, it would have been a much better sink at 2/3rds the cost. I am not sure if I will keep this sink or not, as there are not that many options in the configuration we are looking for.

WARRANTY DOSNT COVER RUST, FINISH,OR LEAKING, HARD WATER , CORROSION. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!!!!! WITHOUT RECEIPT THEY DONT HONOR WARRANTY AND PLACE ALL BLAME ON THE CONSUMER. HOWEVER WARRANTY STILL DOESNT COVER THE ABOVE AND IS WRITTEN TO BENEFIT THEM NOT THE CONSUMER. ENVIRONMENTAL- HARD WATER, RUST, DETERIORATION. READ OHIO BBB REPORT. BUY ANYTHING BUT THIS. PLENTY OF OTHER PRODUCTS OUT THERE FOR THE SAME PRICE WITH AN ACTUAL WARRANTY THAT IS COVERED. IN MY OPINION BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH AMERICAN STANDARD, I WOULD NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.

The center divider on the sink is not lower than the rim as in the picture on the web

I have had this sink for a few years now and it still looks brand new. I would recommend it for any family kitchen.
