Bought this, drawn to the look. Returned it, repulsed by the quality.

I ordered this and the very similar Portsmouth Model # T420.502.295 so I could see side by side. We had this exact same shape trim from a now discontinued American Standard trim, and thought it might work out in case there was any permanent discoloration on the tub around or under the trim (we were replacing due to an earlier leak from the rough-in valve which had discolored the trim.) The only difference between this one (Model # T415.502.295) and Model # T420.502.295 is the escutcheon (little face plate around the water turn on handle.) It seemed a cheap plastic on this one, whereas the round Model # T420.502 is metal. All else exactly the same. I hated the shower head -- as another reviewer pointed out, it drips after turn-off more than most, and the setting thing for different sprays is spring loaded. It returns to its initial position every time you turn the water off. It also struck me as just one more thing that could go wrong. We were happy with our previous shower head of the same finish, so just kept it. Two stars for this particular model because unlike our initial (discontinued) trim, the escutcheon seemed really cheap. Maybe it would have looked ok once installed? And two stars because the shower head is awful, and for most buying the complete trim set, the shower head is a major part of that. Also, if using the exisiting rough-in valve, know that you'll probably need a new cartridge even if your rough-in valve is supposed to be compatible, because the fitting for the handle is different.

Only negative feedback on this is that the face plate trim is plastic and feels cheap. Water marks are left on the face trim easily.
