My sink still has the glossy finish in most areas, but pans have scraped it in 3 separate areas, leaving long black marks. I thought a cast iron sink would be bullet proof, but this one looks old and worn after just a couple of years of use. Very disappointed.

Before getting this sink I thought " enamel " sinks were all alike...strong and built to last. I grew up in a house my Grandfather built in 1934. The same sink was there till the house was demolished in 1975. It went through a lot of wear and tear and always cleaned up well with Comet or Ajax. When I moved into this house I replaced a stainless sink with this model and within weeks the " shiny surface " was gone and I was left with a dull porous surface that stained far to easy. I tried to reach American Standard with out success. Many messages left ...none returned. I called a Plumber out to change out the faucet and asked him what the issue was that this sink was so awful to clean. I was told the "finish" put on can only be cleaned with Bon Ami otherwise you literally erase it and are left with the porous basin which stains horribly. I am very disappointed....so much so that I will replace this sink.

After waiting an additional 2 wks. Past delivery date the item was damaged. The enamel in the upper right hand corner had a 2" chunk missing. Inspecting the box there was no fragments within the shipping box. This leads me to believe the item was damaged before shipping. The whole experience has made me decide to never order another American Standard item again.

We chose this as an upgrade, large, deep with a good working area, only problem the enamel (white) is chipping off along to outer edges and the cast iron is rusting, also pitting is occurring around the top ledge and they are rusting. No worth the upgrade, expected more.

Very sturdy, does not stain easily, a quality product.
