This is a great toilet. The initial flush is a little loud, but the tank fills quickly and quietly. There is great pressure and everything goes down, no problems. The only thing I don't really like is the black color. The hard water stains don't show up as much, that is a plus, no rust, just a little white ring. Much better than a white toilet, but you can't see the color of your urine, which lets you know how your body is functioning and which internal organs are working or not. That is the only think I don't like about this toilet. I am going to get one in white.

The tank arrived packed extremely well with a large crack on the side that was clearly NOT a result of shipping. This tells me someone either didn't bother to check the product before shipping it or just didn't care. I am now waiting who knows how long to receive the replacement tank as it was a special order in the color Linen.

Very satisfied with American Standard Champion 4 that I had installed 5 years ago. Now doing the Cadet 3 in a very small 1/2 bath. Also, physically needed the low height unit. House has well & septic so low water usage and powerful flush were highly preferred. Also wanted the bone finish to match existing decor. One easily corrected dislike was the thin plastic seat & cover. Also had to brace back of both Champion 4 & Cadet 3 tanks to stop movement from users who lean back.

This color adds a richness to the bathroom and the quality of the toilet is good. The water level in the bowl seems very low, oddly, but it does not get plugged up.

The toilet might work well, but I can't tell because the product was delivered completely shattered in the box.

I have had this toilet for over 3 years and it has never plugged up.

I cannot believe that it flushes so well with so little water. My old toilet used a lot of water, was noisy and often ran and ran until I fiddled with it. This toilet just flushes as soon as you push the lever. It is done. WOW! Looks neat too.

What drew me to this one over others was the color. I needed something closer to white, but I didn't want stark white. American Standard offered this toilet in Linen, which is a very elegant color. Also, the tank is much smaller than the one I replaced it with which is nice for smaller spaces. And I like the fact that it has the EverClean feature. I would recommend this toilet/tank. The price was attractive as well.

I ordered this toilet and was hoping for the all in one deal. I missed the part where it didn't come with a seat so that is my fault. It also does not come with the wax ring or the mounting bolts. Just make sure you get those parts ahead of time because you will have to make another trip to the hardware store to get them.

We have not found fault with this product to this time. It flushes great, is comfortable height, and the seat is acceptable quality.

i have only had this unit a few days but so far so good. i hope this will be the last one i'll ever have to install.

Looks and functions great. The Tank wobbles a little sitting on the rubber washers on top of the bowl.

I would be interested to know if the tippy tank is normal, or if it can be fixed. I am concerned about someone leaning back.

It's a little noisy but flushes great! I'm very impressed. I have extremely hard water. I understand the stains won't show up on the black porcelain. I am so looking forward to that.

Purchased this toilet for the 1/2 bath on the 1st floor. It gets lots of use and I found this toilet to flush great, use very little water and be very quiet. I am very , very happy with my purchase!

Little too small but it would do.

I bought this toilet about 6 months ago based on internet reviews I read. At the time, I thought, "how can these people get so excited about a toilet". Now I know. This is a superior product in its flushing ability. I have not often been impressed by most products but I am buying another to replace the upstairs toilet since I have to flush the existing 5 gallon/flush toilet twice to clear it. I am still amazed how the Cadet III can clear with one flush of 1.6 gallons, but it does. I have not had leaking in the flapper valve that the other review mentions. I think I read in other posts that they redesigned the flapper about 6months ago. Maybe I got the new flapper model.

The toilett was great, just about perfect for the 1st 3 mos, low water use, no second flushes, then it started to run once in a while between flushes. Now it has been six months and it runs every hour between flushes. The rubber gasket on the flapper has warped and has hard knots in it so it does not seal tight. I called American Standard and they are sending me the complete flapper assembly at no cost but the design has not changed so I can expect the same again in six months when my warrantee is off. I have a friend who put 2 of these in just before I did. Both of his have the same issue. I need a toliet for my second bath but will look for a different model because of this issue.

We were hesitant to try to replace our existing toilet ourselves but this new AM Cadet went in like a breeze. We're very happy with the overall performance and would highly recommend this unit. There is lots of information on the web for replacing toilets so you can save lots of $$ by doing it yourself.

Perfect fit for small area. Easy installation. Site should suggest purchasing donut at purchase time to avoid an extra shopping trip (single female)Seal on tank allows tank to move backwards if you lean back on seat lid. No leaks. Did not notice the china around water inlet holes on bowl was rough and not completely smooth. This was a few weeks after installation.
