I'm glad I bought the sample. I don't think this product is good value for money. The manufacturer does try to make it resemble real wood but it's a cheap material to begin with and I find the long pieces expensive for what they are.

The beam sample was far darker then shown, a very dark brown, almost black. So we probably will not owed the faux beam because of this reason.

We went with these beams just in a little larger diameter. We ordered them last week and they were delivered today. I am glad we purchased the 2 samples so we knew we wanted the size of the other ones but the factory color of this one. We will have a seam because we needed them in 16 foot lengths but hopefully we can blend it in. I cant wait to hang them up!!

I was happy we were able to buy a sample piece because we learned the full size will not work for the project we are doing. It does resemble a rustic beam.
