I ordered two sets of chairs (4 total) and the first box had beautiful wood, perfectly cut, sanded and aligned. I've never seen "some assembly required" go together so perfectly! I would have given the product 5 stars, except the second box was poorer quality wood, somewhat mismatched and rough - not bad, but had splinters and dings. I had to sand the second two chairs a little.
Overall I am very pleased. One small note... I expected the chairs to be larger and heavier. I have an outdoor teak dining set I purchased 12 years ago and I thought these stacking chairs would be perfect for when I need to put extra people around the table. I knew they wouldn't be identical, and I am pleased with the similar style, but I thought these chairs looked bigger in the picture.

Good wood, nice design, poor quality control.
I purchased two sets of these chairs (total 4 chairs) and assembled all four. All four chairs did not sit flat by over a quarter inch due to improper location of the tendon joint at the seat. The wood was nice, although checked in a few spots. Finish was a bit rough with final sanding and coating would really be required after assembly. I sent them all back.

I do not recommend these for outdoor use.
I ordered 10 of the Amazon Teak Stacking Arm Chairs along with the matching dining table in 3/2010. After 3 months, I started noticing that the upper back corners of the frame on several of the chairs was splitting. The location and type of split actually followed the description that the owner's manual called "crocking", and described it to be normal.
But the cracks seemed excessive to me and I called Home Depot to complain. It was just beyond the 90 day return policy, so HD's customer service could not authorize a return, but they gave me the contact information for the company that they ordered them from.
To their credit, and after a couple of communications including me emailing photos to them of the problem, that company's customer service offered me a full refund of all 10 chairs, even though I was only complaining about 4 or 5 of them.
Replacement chairs were not in stock at the time, so I took the refund rather than ordering replacements. Good thing, because 6 of the chairs have now totally fallen apart. The problem is that the pieces of wood used to build the frame are not made from solid lengths of wood. They are sections of wood laminated to create a continuous piece that would form a leg or the frame of the back. Maybe the glue was faulty, because the wood started to break apart where they were glued.
I now have 6 unusable chairs with wood broken off the legs or backs. I literally have blocks of wood broken off the chairs. I expect the remaining 4 to follow the same fate, and inspect them carefully before using.
The wood furniture is left uncovered after the rainy season, and covered up again from about November. (I am in the east bay hills area of the San Francisco Bay Area, so our best weather is usually May through October.) I don't think I was negligent in the care of the furniture. The longest they were exposed to rain were the first 2 months after I received them--before I realized how poorly they would hold up in rain. A lot of the breaking off of the wood was notice after I uncovered the furniture in late spring 2011.
I hope this review helps anyone else out there who is considering this furniture. Unfortunately, I think you really get what you pay for.
I loved the design of the chairs, and the size was very good, but I cannot recommend these chairs unless they are kept in a covered area. Maybe it was a fluke or a batch of bad glue, because surprisingly, only one other reviewer had any problems with this furniture.

Was not given the entire picture
Our initial patio table & 4 chair (5 piece) set was great, but we were never informed that we were purchasing a line that was being discontinued and that the 2 end/arm chair pieces were already discontinued and were no longer available for us to purchase. This 2 piece upgrade would have allowed us to have a 7 piece matched set. The arm chairs we did receive were stack-able and of a different style. We were forced to return them. THERE WAS NEVER ANY INDICATION THAT THE PRODUCT WE ORDERED WAS BEING DISCONTINUED AND THAT WE SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR (SELL OUT PRICING ON THESE ITEMS.

High Quality Great Value
We bought the Hampton Bay Table, four side chairs and two arm chairs. I have been looking for an affordable quality patio set and found it could not beat the price and with free shipping. Assembly was easy chairs are comfortable, can’t wait until next summer to get some use out of it. Would like to find the deep seating set on sale too.

Is that mold?
The chair surface had an icky look. Faded, moist, maybe moldy? The chair looked 10 years old out of the box.
On the positive side, the chairs are super comfortable, sturdy and well designed.

Amazon Teak
this is a very good chair for the money. I don't yet know that they will last for years in Minnesota weather. Comfortable and stylish. Also, HomeDepot's order process and speed of delivery were excellent.

Well made, beautiful and easy to assemble
Very securely packaged.
They're serious about matching up the marked colors on the parts, as they've apparently been pre-fitted and aren't necessarily interchangeable (don't ask how I learned this).
The wood surface is a little rough in places, but they're beautiful and a great bargain at this price.

Falling apart
We bought 8 of these chairs and the matching table in September 2008. We keep them covered when we are not using them and store them inside during the winter months. However, the chairs are starting to fall apart. One actually broke when a guest was sitting in it. I'm now ordering more chairs to replace the ones we bought less than 3 years ago. I'm disappointed in the quality, thought they would have lasted longer.

Perfect Outdoor Chairs - and they stack!!
Could not find a better chair. We put all 10 together in about 1 1/2 hours. They were very simple to put together and VERY sturday. They are nice size chairs. I thought they might end up a little small but they are plenty big. We will probably buy pads for the seats. About half the group thought we needed pads and half thought they were great without a pad. LOVE them!

Not Perfect, But Great for the Price
While this chair definitely isn't the quality of the high priced teak, you're not paying the high price either. But for the price, the quality is excellent. It's easy to put together, made well and is sturdy. Although I believe it had a coating of teak oil already applied, it does look a little rough coming out of the box. I gave it another rub down and the wood looks almost as good as my expensive stuff. I ordered 2 chairs at first because I was a little leery as to what they'd look like, but because they turned out so nicely, I'm ordering another 2.

Great value
Well made, easy assembly. These have been assembled at the factory in Bolivia, holes for dowels and screws drilled, rubbed with teak oil, then disassebbled to ship. The sweet part is they ship in pairs, so the price listed is for two chairs, not one. All parts of each chair in the box is marked with black or red, so you can keep the original parts together. For the tree-huggers: FSC certified with the tree identification stamped under the seat.
