On the first unit, the foot pedal broke, on the 2nd unit, the slide pin disconnected and fell out, the 3rd unit I ordered, on line, and when it arrived, it was broken in half and I couldn't even apply it to the door. I love the convenience of the foot pedal and I keep re-ordering the same unit as my door has the holes already drilled. I had each lock for about a year before it broke, except the last one, it arrived broke. The lock itself meets my expectations but the quality of the product does not.

I have to replace this lock about once or twice a year because the slide bar becomes loose from the lever and fails to function properly. Unfortunately, I have already drilled holes in the door frame so I have to stay with the same lock.

This was a repeat order, replacing existing equipment with fresh product.

Timely delivery and the patio door lock fit and works perfectly.

I have used this keyed door lock for at least 10 years. It works great on my patio sliding doors. It just broke so I replaced with exactly same lock.

Key lock falls out of unit and the keys do not lock or unlock the lock. Poor quality control of manufactured unit.

Our old lock was broken and this new one fit exactly and works perfectly....and better!

It adequately locks our patio door, but not sure about endurance.

This is the third order of the same product. The 2 previous ones broke after a few months, the one I just received was in pieces when I opened the package.

Very poor quality. Lasted a day!

i installed one and it has already broken. i will be taking back into the store and ask for a refund.

The unit was dropped once and fell apart upon hitting the floor....while trying to install it....we were unable to get the unit back together the key cylinder fell out and the key teeth came out....it junk know.... My thoughts were if it came apart that easy with just being dropped how is it suppose to hold together when put on the door....

This lock was purchased to replace the same model. It was exactly the same and so it fit in my original location. It is used on the top of an exterior wooden gate as a safety lock so my dog cannot get through it. I like the ability to lock it (even though it isn't burglar poof, it is a deterrent). I also have one on the bottom of my glass patio door. It works well there because I can use my toe to lock and unlock it. Very convenient. I like to stay with the same product so I don't have to keep drilling mounting holes in different places. The only down side to the lock is that the aluminum rod that locks the door in place is the weak point - it is the part that has always broken or bent. I will continue to purchase this lock for the existing location/use. It is reasonably priced.

I did not even want to give it one star. This lock is a waste of money, don't buy it. Used it once and the keyhole came out of the lock. The lock is as thin as plastic and breaks easily.

Easy to install, I like having this lock over a wooden dowel or bar to block the sliding door.

Easy to install and the price was so reasonable. Ordering it on line, saved me running all over town looking for one, as I have no Home depot near me or any hardware, etc, as I'm 1/2 hour from any town. So the home delivery was quite an extra bonus.

The new locks replaced the old locks on my sliding glass doors. They fit just right and work much better than the old ones.

Use the locks as secondary locking option on 4 sliding glass doors at my primary residence. Two of them failed in the last month. The pin on the throw that throw articulation lever and locking mechanism act on snapped off on both. 3rd I had to pull apart within a year of purchase as the throw articulation lever had jumped out of its groove. Personally going to buy a more expensive patio bolt and replace all for at my house as I don't want to be replacing them every 3-5 years.

This is a replacement for a broken lock. Fits well, works well, so all in all, it does it's job.

The lock is what was expected although the pin was smaller than the original lock. The screws provided were machine screws not usable for the wood frame. You will have to provide your own wood screws if you are going through wood, Overall a good lock for the price. Quite functional and easy to use.
