The product works great once set up and looks very clean. actuator is smooth and the fingerprint scanner has had no problem reading any fingerprints that I have programmed in so far

I did a custom walk-in gun safe for a customer that loves the fact that he can access his safe with a fingerprint. His home defense weapon is next to his bed but his collection is secured with this deadbolt and his home security monitoring service provider has provided a keypad to deactivate the alarm each time the safe door opens. The alarm operates independently of the homes alarm system. The lock seams solid. The function is smooth. My only complaint is that the bolt itself is not polished brass too. Or at least the face of it. What I meant to say is the when the door is open and you're looking at the edge of the door, the plate that surrounds the deadbolt is just a steal plate, it doesn't match the finish of the rest of the unit. The strike plate wouldn't have worked either as I installed it on a security door which requires an over sized strike plate which I purchased from the door manufacturer in polished brass. Anyway, overall, great product and it's pretty cool.

This is a pretty nice lock. It takes basic DIY skills to install and is only slightly more complicated than a traditional deadbolt to install. However, it is VERY confusing on how to program it for anything other than the master fingerprint. You need to time everything correctly, and push the open/close button AFTER the add/del buttons. That part was not very clear until after rereading the directions and quick programming guide multiple times. Once I figured that out, it was easier, but the sequencing for add/del combinations for programming is still a chore. Ultimately, I returned this, not so much because the fingerprint reader didn't work, but because some people have bad fingerprints! If anyone uses this with severely dry, cracked fingers, it won't program or read them. This could happen only seasonally (like winter), so you'll need to take that into consideration. I otherwise liked the lock.
