My 20 year old son put 2 together for us, took him under 2 hours. I pre-warned him it could be hard since someone said it took 3 of them 3 hours to put one together. There is also an initial lighting video tutorial on AZ website. Works great!

Highly disappointed with manufacturer and HOME DEPOT as this was a gift. Item arrived in an extremely damaged box. It was missing 1 packing strap and 1 side was totally open and missing parts. When tried to re-order I was told it was out of stock and no date could be given me when expected back in stock. Poor service on every level.

It's a great looking heater and is holding up well, even after rain and in cold weather. I just wish it was easier to assemble (took 3 people 3 hours) and that it emitted more heat / BTUs. Otherwise happy to have it.

After assembly the Heater is great. Since I was using it for the Super Bowl & it came three days before, I hired a Handy Man to put it together just in case I messed up. Igniter was easy to use as it is waist high.

The instruction manual for assembling this may be the worst I have ever seen, in many years of assembling things. An example: "Depart the two sides bolts with winning nuts and screws(G),then combine the flame screen(F) and upper plate(E) together." Those aren't my typos and missing spaces; that's an actual quote. I can't wait to go to Home Depot to as where there "winning nuts" are. But worse than all of that is the fact that the edge of the aluminum reflector is so sharp that it sliced my thumb open when I was installing a cover. So, if you buy this, plan on spending some time figuring out on your own how it should go together, and get some emery paper to sand the edges of the reflector so you don't need stitches.

Love it and it is relaxing to look at. The heat raidiates well enough to get warm when standing close to it. It went together well despite lack of instructions. Any do lt yourselfer can figure it out. I like to buy another if they come on sale. Great quality overall.

The directions had poor pictures and I would have saved a lot of time if they were clearer.It took 3 hours to build the unit and would have taken 2 if the instructions were clearer. Once the unit was built it performed well. It did come damaged and I was able lot get a small discount for it.
