Purchased 12 gallons of the Driftwood color for my pool deck, I followed all the manufacturer instructions to prep the deck for painting. This paint has the consistency of a milkshake, it goes on good and fills every nook and cranny. We brushed the first coat on then rolled the 2nd coat. It covered about what they stat sheet claims it does. This was a great deal of work for me and my wife so I really hope it lasts as advertised, after countless hours of debate and internet research, Anvil deck a new had good feedback and seemed like the correct choice. I did contact the company for a color sample card because sometimes it's tough to get a good feel from a PC screen. I had an immediate reply from the president asking his staff to send one to me but I never did receive it, that was a little disappointing but we decided on the driftwood color and it's kind of a light gray , were happy with it. As you will see in the pics, we painted the spindles with a blue ( not anvil paint) and love the contrast.

I have used several deck treatment products over the years with mixed results ... this product is different; it works as advertised!! It goes on easy and holds up well. As with any deck treatment, the key is in the initial prep. It pays to strip any stain or previous treatment completely and then prime the surface before attempting to install Deck-A-New. I highly recommend Rust-oleum Restore Deck Start Wood Primer. If you follow this advice, I'm sure you will get attractive and long lasting results.

We used this product to re-do our deck 2 years ago. We followed all instructions and had a professional apply it. Looked good but in only 2 yrs nearly 80% had to be repainted because it was peeling up. We will not use it a third time. We will use a different product if this does not last longer.

Worked well but needed more product that it recommended. Need to be an experienced DIYer to do this!

Easily applied in late summer .. looked great initially . One winter and the entire deck is chipping and peeling. I prepped the deck as necessary and still falling apart .. very thick going on so I thought would be a good product. Disappointing

Easily applied w brush or roller. Time will tell if it holds up to weather or not

Deck looks great - went from black peeling mess to nice driftwood gray finish. A lot of prep work but worth it. Hopefully will last a couple of years

Very happy with this product. Our wooden deck was old and very worn. I sanded surface with a belt sander and applied the product. Good coverage and seems to be very durable. Just applied 1 month ago so time will tell. For now deck looks like a new install!!!!!

I thought it was a good product. However, when we needed to clean a few spots on the deck, the product rubbed off with soap and water leaving the bare pressure treated wood exposed. It was new pressure treated wood. Would not recommend. I am very disappointed.

So far this product has proven to be easy to apply, fantastic coverage, and a wonderful non-slip surface. I highly recommend use of this product on any deck.

Easy to apply, excellent coverage. Used less than thought I would. The acid test has yet to happen which will be durability.

This product did as advertised. It was easy to apply and the results are awesome. We applied it only one month ago so we will have to see what a years worth of weather does to it however I believe it will hold up well. We love looking at it every day. You will be happy with this product if you prep your deck by making sure all screws or nails are sunk and any holes are patched. We are in our late 60's and managed to do our 24X24 deck without any trouble. Anvil is a great product.

This product worked a lot better than the rust-oleum deck resurfacer i used last year.It's thicker and adheres better.

This product performed as advertised. We used brushes on the first coat because the deck had a lot of wear and it covered better. We rolled on the second coat and it looks amazing. It is also easy to work with unlike other products that are real thick. Love it!
