More dark brown than gray and metal arms can get very warm if no shade all day. Seat cushions firm, back cushions big but very comfortable as is. Fabric repels water very well. Light taupe has specks of other colors in the set. Only assembly is table which was easy. One chair wobbles slightly from uneven leg so rate at 4 not 5.
