My goal was to update my kitchen..cabinets and a fresh coat of paint. Since I have many cabinets I was unsure of the best way to strip them. I was guided to the sandpaper vs. chemical stripper by a Home Depot representative to do a comparison. Concerned about the time/physical strength (cannot use a sander on most of the cabinet due to the style) vs. chemicals... I was assured this was something I could accomplish without using chemicals. Sandpaper in hand I started with the cabinet base on the top cabinets and was ready for paint in about 2 hours. I purchased "stripper"sandpaper and "finishing"paper and that did the trick. They look great and saved me from costly chemicals.

Works
It worked like it was supposed too. No tears or blemishes in the paper.
