Great Value
I have only had this unit a couple of weeks but wanted to post an intial review as there appear to be no reviews. Received the compressor in a reasonable amount of time and was immediately impressed with how great the unit was packaged (see pic below). Received in perfect condition, installed power/filters/regulators/etc and started right up. Runs great. Not a two stage but puts out a lot of air (I assume thats the 3 cylinder pump design). Motor is an Emerson and the Pump is a type/design that I have seen on other well rated compressors. I expect many years of trouble free use. Made in the US (or I assume assembled in the US) to boot.

worth the money spent best when on sale
best way to have it delivered to home depot and save 75 dollars installed quickly and runs quiet I like that it only draws 15 amps I did add a gate valve at the water drain to make it simple to drain the water

    Excellent air compressor
I have been using this product in my home garage now for about a year. It continues to work well and has met all of my needs. My only complaint is that it is a little louder than I would have liked.

    Wrong description, wrong picture
The item description is wrong in the write up. It states, ..."it has a powerful 15 amp motor..." In fact it does not. It DOES have a 22 amp motor, that requires 240 volts and a 30 amp breaker. Based on the item description, I had my electrician install 12/2 wire and a 20 amp breaker, for the 15 amp motor. That needed to be removed, and we had to install 10/2 and a 30 amp breaker. Problem fixed, at my additional expense. Next issues. Looking at the picture, you'll see left to right a relief valve, 2 gauges, a regulator knob between them and 2 outlet ports. It doesn't actually look like this. In fact, what I got is a pressure switch on a pipe sticking out of the tank, with a tank pressure gauge, and a relief valve. Simply done, and there is nothing wrong with that, but, now I am required to purchase the second gauge, the regulator, and 2 quick connect outlet ports. I of course fixed that problem too, at my additional expense. From the date of order to date of delivery, 35 days, which is quite a bit longer than the 14-21 in the description. When I called to complain to HD about the above issues, they told me that they would contact the manufacturer, and get back to me in 72 business hours (3 business days). That didn't happen. It was over 4 days. I had already contacted the manufacturer. They told me that this is a problem with HD. They also told me that you can't get an 80 gallon tank, with a 15 amp motor. It's just too much demand for that small of a motor. The response I got on my voice mail was, here is the item number that you should have ordered if you wanted those specifications-and it led me back to the same item I ordered! If that doesn't work, then you can return the item, and they would refund my money. The compressor weighs 350 pounds and access is not the easiest, and I am a one man show. I followed up with customer service again, attempting to speak to the same person that I originally expressed my frustrations to, and there is no way to contact that person-so I have to reiterate everything to another person. That is not nice. After the explanation, she "checks with her manage to see what they can do." After sitting on hold for 5 minutes or so, she tells me to send the item back if it is not what I ordered. This does not sit well with me. Who pays for the shipping back to HD, and the supplier? This isn't a letter that I am sending. Who is paying for my time to put the forks on my tractor to lift the compressor, hook up the trailer, secure the compressor to the trailer, and then drive 30 minutes to the store? And then return home, put the trailer away, take the forks off the tractor, put it all away and clean up? Where is the value of MY time and efforts? I am willing to bet that it is the manufacturer who gets stuck with the bill for shipping. They did nothing wrong here, yet they will be penalized. If HD wanted to "do it right", they would say, "sorry for the inconvenience. You have 2 choices Joe Customer. Send the item back, or can we send you a gift card to cover your additional expenses of wire, breaker, regulator, gauge and outlet ports?" Simple, and it maintains good customer relations. And to be fair, HD said they could send someone to pick up the compressor to return it to the store. But I still have to get it out of the garage, and to the driveway, so they can pick it up! In the end, it is easier for me to fix the problems myself (because I can) than to expect HD to take responsibility and "make it right". Shipping the item back does not make it right. I needed the compressor or I would not have ordered it, and so being without one is not an option. The compressor works fine, although it won't get any real challenges until spring when I have sandblasting work to do, which is the major reason for the purchase. It is quieter than I thought it would be. Hopefully, I will not have any warranty issues that I have to deal with HD on. We average about $1000/month at HD. Maybe it is time to consider shifting a larger portion of my construction, renovation, and property management supplies to a Canadian supplier. Just a thought. And finally, even after 2 months, HD still has not changed the item description. So buyer beware of what you think you are ordering!

      excellent buy
the air compressor meets and exceeds all of my expectations. Delivery was within feet of where it was installed and was easily wired up. I look forward to years of use. Good buy and the 0% for 12 months only made the deal even better. Paul

      good price for the money
i looked around and found this to fit my need the best most tools run at about 90 psi and this air compessor has the cfm to run good at 90 psi i bought a regulator from msc that flows well so that a have no restriction when i need it for my big mac impact that is about 1000 ft pounds,i run it at 100 psi and it seems to do the job and has a lot of air before it kicks on ,you will have to get you own cord for power, and dont forget to run it for a half hr for pump break in and after 8 hrs of use change the pump oil, i bought my new pump oil from msc as well, its mobil full syn just for aircompressor pumps ,i bought about 3 quarts just to be on the safe side i couldnt find how many in the specs, im a motor head/ welder/and handy man kind guy so this work out well for me.

        Good buy for the money
Ordered this compressor a few months ago to do mechanical/ auto body work in my garage. Couldnt be happier. Seems to never run out of air, the three cylinder motor pumps fast and holds up well to grinding and spraying. I deff reccomend some air water seperators im running two filters in line in addition to a pressure regulator and it stops the moisture. Overall im impressed with this unit and saved a good deal od money in my pocket over an IR unit.

        Good price, some design flaws.
The compressor is noisy. One fitting not sealed and I had to take the pressure switch assembly off and reseal it. I would have given it a good review except that the drain valve at the bottom of the tank is at the floor and cannot be drained without building a steel platform to raise it off of the floor. Something I am well capable of doing but am not happy about having to spend the time.

        Good product for the price
I replaced another compressor that was" supposedly, "a professional series, with this one. I haven't used this one very much yet, but believe it is for above the old one.It was oiless and the service tech told me they weren't as dependable as the oil type as they couldn't tolerate dust.I am very happy with this one.Very good value.
