PaintErase Spot Remover
I had a small area outside of my bathroom that had gotten black dye dripped on it. I had tried numerous products to remove it and then I received this product and tried it. The first attempt lightened it then I did it a secod time and left it on for about 15 minutes and then used a paint scraper and damp rag and wiped it clean. The wood floor is old but the spots are completely gone.

Works, but doesn't work miracles.
I tried this on three different spots on white carpet. -Spilled nail polish previously tried to clean with nail polish remover. (1 month old) Nail polish color is lighter but not gone. -Green paint spilled, previously cleaned with water. (9 months old). Completely gone!!! -White paint drop, no cleanup attempted. (Not sure how long) Less than there was before. This was a pretty tough job and I did see improvement but spots were not totally removed. No damage was noticed to the carpet. I used almost the entire bottle.

This product is great. I am surprised that it isn't available in the store. It took oil base enamel paint off my hardwood floor with ease and did not damage the floor. I will definitely keep this product on hand for all future paint projects. It's fantastic!

Would not recommend.
The product barely remove the paint stain from the carpet. It was a waste of money.

I didn’t have high hopes for this working but I figured I would at least try. It works fantastically. I followed the directions on the bottle and then steam cleaned the carpet, 100% gone.

      This stuff works
The product is a life-saver, and worth keeping at home for emergencies or just for clean-up. We have used it on tile, stone, sealed hardwood, and even carpet, and it does remove paint spills. We haven't used it on major spills, just drips, but those drips have completely disappeared after using this. I recommend following the directions on the bottle (and covering your work area), and to dab, rather than rub, the spot.

Ths product does not work well on dried paint and if used on carpet, it will take out the coloring.

      Hit or Miss
It is hit or miss with this product. When I used it on paint drips on the same surface but in different areas sometimes it would come right off and other times it didn't do anything but spread and change the color around the drip from beige to a yellow and leaving the drip exactly the same. I am more inclined to believe that a little elbow grease minus this product would of produced the same results. FYI: I tried immediate removal and letting it dry. I am just glad that I didn't have to pay full price since it was half off.

      Great paint remover
Works! Sometimes requires leaving it on and then a bit of elbow grease, but it does the job. Disappointed only with a few plastics, where the paint actually dissolved some of the surface and made removal impossible, but can't fault the remover.

      Awsome Product
Grabbed this product as last resort in hopes that It would clean up some spray paint my genius son got on the concrete driveway when he decided to spray paint his bike. Spray paint is not listed on the bottles label but I took a chance. I applied this product as the label states and worked it in with a wire brush. Let it set for a few minutes and rinsed it off with water. Paint gone and my wife is HAPPY!

      An ounce of prevention...
I was about to report that this product didn't work at all, but after three applications - and a lot of elbow grease - it did take the paint off from the surface where it dripped. This was hardened and well dried paint, so it might work better if the paint isn't completely cured yet. But it won't just wipe off. You'll be using a putty knife or some sort of scraper to get it off. I see where some people were using this on carpeting and what not. It might work better on fabrics, I'm not sure. I got it for a section of woodwork that I got over zealous on last paint job. It'll get the spots off, but it won't be easy... and it won't be perfect. On the upside, at least it doesn't smell any where near as harsh as petroleum based products you may have used in the past. And it doesn't seem like it would do any harm to your skin at all. Bottom line, adhere to the old adage, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It's going to take you a pound or two with this product to correct your rash paint mistakes.

Amazing - removed 2 yr old paint on carpet
When my home was last painted, the painters splattered paint on the carpet. I tried several removers and nothing worked. I didn't think this would work either, but I was very surprised. I'm talking about removing paint the size of a pencil eraser or less. My carpet is very light. The paint was removed and the only way you could tell anything had been there was the carpet was a little roughed up. When I had scrubbed the spot previously, I was a little agressive. I learned that you have to dab/rub at the paint spot BEFORE the solution dries. When I rewetted the spot & dabbed/rubbed again, the paint smeared a little. I let the solution work about 30 minutes for the best results. Since the paint was two years old, I used the solution two or three times to get all the paint removed. For me this was a miracle product.

      I'd Recommend...
We had our deck retreated, and although the finished product was great, our handyman didn't take too many precautions to not get paint on the siding. Luckily this product did a pretty good job of removing the dark colord deck stain from the lighter-colored siding. It took multiple applications, but it got the job done.

      Paint uneasy
I would not recommend you waste time with this product. You come out better just using a putty knife to remove the paint instead. Once you put it on the paint that needs to be removed; it has to stand for fifteen or more minutes, but you have to use quite a bit of elbow juice.

      Seems to Work Okay
I ordered this product because I wanted to see if it might remove a latex paint spot from my favorite pair of shorts. Unfortunately it did not. I can't fault the product for this. It did soften the dried paint and I think on actual things that it is recommended for it would work just fine. One plus is that it did not have a real strong odor. That is a real plus over some of this brands competitors.

      Worked better than expected
Finally getting to all those paint drips around the house embedded in the linoleum and concrete. The ones that don't come off with a putty knife. It definitely does what it says. The paint gets soft and gooey after it is applied making it easy to remove without scraping. For the linoleum I had to do two treatments to get all of the paint off. With the texture it was too time consuming to use a toothpick and I didn't want to scratch it. Just squeeze out a blob the size of the paint drip and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Wipe it up with a sponge or damp paper towel. You do need to be careful because it cleans anything it touches. You may want to use a dry paper towel to blot it up before rinsing the area. I used a damp sponge to wipe it up now I have several clean spots about 4 inches in diameter where the small paint drips were. another bonus is it worked well on the black scuff marks from moving the freezer. For those I just let it sit for a couple of minutes and wiped with a sponge. I will try this with the linoleum if my regular cleaner doesn't work. The concrete was a little harder because of the broom texture. It took 3 applications to loosen the paint enough to use a toothbrush to remove all the paint. It also cleans the concrete around it so I am going to go back and do the entire carport area with a concrete cleaner. May even try sealing it afterwards to see how long it stays clean. It looks and smells like the orange pumus cleaner but has another chemical smell. There is no odor other than a slight orange oil smell.

      Works OK
I used it to clean up on a small spill in my garage. It required several reapplications to finally clean up the spot.Good thing is it does not smell like some of the other paint removers that you would use in place of this product.

      Better to Be Careful!
This is a creamy substance - much like furniture cream. I used this in conjunction with the paint erase wipes while trying to clean dried paint mistakes made before we bought our house. I had some success with both products, but you need to use a lot of elbow grease with them. I think it would be advisable to be more careful in the first place! ;-)

      Good for a water based
This is a fine product if you are looking for a water based solution. I still think the harsher petroleum products are more versatile and effective. But there's a time and place for everything, and sometimes you don't always need or want the harsher petroleum product. The smell from the paint-erase is not bad. Maybe a faint ammonia aroma. What I liked best was the gel consistency. This allowed you to put it on any surface and it "sticks" so it can work. But that is also a part that isn't as desirable. You have to give it time to work. I found that waiting works. But maybe too well. On an old paint drop on varnished base board, it removed it all - paint, varnish, everything. This is using it directed. With the petroleum based product, I found I could work it a bit better in "layers" with successive wipes. You cannot do this with paint erase because you have to give it time to sit. There's also a sort of "soft grit" in the gel that helps with action. I even used it to lift some caulk from a tub surround. Surprisingly, it worked -- after waiting of course.

Not a miricle worker, but it works
I was repainting some trim around the bedroom doors and got a little lazy (sloppy)... ended up with some drip spots and some painters tape bleed-through on my hardwood floors. Full disclosure, the floors were refinished about 2 years ago and have a water based poly over stain finish. I decided to give this stuff a shot (the water based poly is easy to fix if it ended up eating through it). It has gel or paste-like consistency, and reminds me a lot of my Gojo hand cleaner (orange scented, gritty texture). You apply it to the paint spots, let it work for 15 minutes, then "wipe away". Re: The drip spots - I found the "wipe away" to be a bit of a stretch. It still required some finger nail scrapping and elbow grease... but it certainly lifted off the floor without damaging the poly, and it was a lot less elbow grease than if I had used nothing at all. Re: The painters tape bleed through - This was a lot tougher to deal with. I used Q-tips to apply the paste (some of the drips were really close to the trim work). Even doing that I still ended up with a lot of remover on the trim itself. You either have to wipe it all off and start over, or accept that it is going to peel off some of your finished paint job and touch up later. I went with the repaint option - it was less work in the long run. It's not a miracle worker but it's effective.

      What paint?
I have only used this product on tile and concrete and it worked like magic. While painting my powder room I wasted some of the paint on the tile and dripped it into the garage. You do have to apply a generous amount of the remover to get the paint off. I will be adding this product to my painting supply list.

      Gets the job done!
I had some horrible ink stains on my wood floor (don't ask) and this product was able to take them out like they were never there. It does kinda take a bit of the product to get your stains out, but it's worth it!

      Really Works Well
Last year I painted the wood spindles and rails on my porch and forgot to cleanup the latex paint spots on the concrete surface. Applied the Paint Erase Spot Remover on the numerous spots and smears and let sit for 25 minutes. Then I used a putty knife and a little water to remove all of the spots and smears. Previously I had to use a pressure washer with concentrated pencil jet to remove the paint, which has a high risk of damaging the concrete surface. Highly recommend this product for removing paint spots.
