We have used this same product for nine years with good results and excellent customer service from Beckett so when we needed to purchase a new one we went with the same model which had some modifications. After about three weeks we cleaned the filters pads but the top would no longer seat properly to the bottom canister without leaking. I contacted beckett and they gave me the run around. After nine years of previous use I think we know what we're doing. Sorry because I really loved their customer service and that is one reason why we stayed with them.

      Don't waste your money
I have bought 2. The tubing cannot stay attached as the nuts are defective. Mine is one month old and is now broken! Mad!

        Bad Design Fittings Leak
Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. Right out of the box the inlet fitting leaked. Since this is just a uv light in a plastic case some effort should have been put into insuring the case does not leak. This could be sold as a combination uv clarifier and drip irrigation system.

        cleans water beautifully
I purchased 2 of these at the end of the season at a great discount because both boxes were totally destroyed. I took a chance and they work great. I agree with everyone about the inlets and outlets. If you get a good quality glue, you can permanently glue the inlet and outlet. Other than that they work beautifully. Clears green water in a couple of days. I did break the glass bulb housing and replaced it, a little expensive but I think its worth it. I did cut my own replacement filters too. Really not hard. Overall a great filter!

        replacement media
Worked fine for a few years until the manufacturer decided not to produce the media anymore. Now they still sell it and you can't replace the media! You can get a few online but the media has tripled in price and I suspect when the small supply runs out your going to have to find something and try to cut it to the odd shape to fit it in the filter. What a disappointment. Now I have to go out and purchase a new filter when I have one that works.

        Don't waste your money
I had an old model which worked great. I got a crack in the UV bulb housing so I bought the new model and threw away the old one. There are only 3-4 threads on the part that attaches to the hose that goes into the pond, like the other reviewer said, it won't hold the weight of the hose so it comes off. I used liquid nails finally and it held for last season but this season I accidently stepped on the hose and off it came and there is now no way to try to attach it. I didn't know I could have replaced just that glass housing. It was $169.00 down the drain. Beckett needs a design change and go back to the other way.

        It is not worth buying
I bought this filter straight from Beckett the connectors with the plastic nut will not hold the weight of the hose. They will not refund my money. Their answer is to send me another filter that is the same. Waste of money worse the 8 hrs I spent trying to make them work. DO NOT BUY

        Beckett PBF 750
I bought one of these last year and used it this spring. It worked amazingly on the green water and has kept it completely clear for the last 5 months. The only problem is that the bulb only worked for about 5 months but the filteration is 100%. Well worth the price.

        Great with drawbacks
When installing the filter, the in and outlets broke off because the threading is not large enough to take the force of the tubes when connected. So, I permanently glued the in and outlets to the canister. Now the system works great.

          Beckett UV 750
I had bought one of these several years back and had been very pleased with the performance and durability. Unfortuantely there has been a major design change since then, specifically on the inlet and outlet ports. Instead of being molded into the unit as they were, now they are removable and are only secured by a plastic nut that is impossible to get tight enough to eliminate leaking without it coming loose entirely. I ended having to return the unit to Home Depot. Poor design change by manufacturer.

          Great for low-maintenance water feature
I recently purchased a home and inherited an unkempt water feature, with 2 tiered ponds and a waterfall. The water was very green, with filamentous algae growing everywhere. The previous owners had installed a swimming pool-sized pump and filter, although the filter was completely bypassed. I decided to look for something that would clean up the water, but also not cost a fortune in electricity. I went to Home Depot and found this Beckett water filter with integrated UV light. I purchased the kit, along with some corrugated tubing and hose clamps. Upon getting home & opening the product, I was disappointed to find out that the kit didn't include a pump. They really should make it more clear on the packaging that a pump is not included. Anyways, I went back and purchased a Beckett W600 pond/waterfall pump and hooked it all up. I'm thoroughly impressed! My system has been running for 5 days now, and the water has gone from pea-soup clarity to almost crystal clear. I would give this 5 stars, but I really think they should clarify on the box that you need a pump.
