This is a very cheaply made replacement globe. I would happily have paid double the price to have thicker glass and better quality control. The globe on my front porch light inexplicably shattered while I was out of town recently. I was faced with either replacing the entire fixture or finding a suitable replacement globe of the same schoolhouse style with a 4-inch fitter. I chose this one as it was the only one available locally which would fit my light. However, the quality control is obviously lacking. The first one I purchased would not stay in my fixture even with the fitter screws fully extended. Despite the advertised 4-inches the fitter opening measured closer to 3.75 inches. I took a chance and bought a second one which does fit securely and I'll be returning the first. I suggest measuring the fitter diameter in the store before purchasing.

Exactly what I needed to replace a missing 4 in diameter light globe for ceiling fan. Looks great. Suggestion: perhaps it should come w/the 3 little screws that often go missing from ceiling fans to hold it in place. 3 tiny screws to make it fresh+ screw in easily over the old rusted or missing ones
