This magnetic post level worked great for me installing my new mailbox with a metal post into concrete. The post was completely level in all directions. Highly recommended!

Works fine with metal posts but when tried to use it with the strap on vinyl 4x4 it doesn't stay in square. Gets pulled by the strap and it stays open in approximately 120'. Will recomend the manufacturer to put some kind of locking mechanism to keep it square otherwise its just useless and annoying for use with vinyl posts.

A generally well made and thought-out tool for checking level and plumb. With an elastic strap for securing to non-magnetic members and integral magnets for securing to steel, this is a useful time saver when, for example, installing fence posts. The Multiple vials allow you to check plumb in both planes and, since it can be secured to the post, frees up a hand to position and brace the post in the correct position. The "wings" can be indexed in 15 degree increments, permitting use on other than square sections. When not in use, it folds up neatly to minimize the chance of damage in the tool box. The Husky "Forever" guarantee is icing-on-the-cake. The only "con" is the elastic strap used to secure the level to non-magnetic materials. It is not as robust as the rest of the tool, and will, no doubt be replaced by a small bungee after it stretches past its elastic limit, of falls off and is lost. When check against other levels, the accuracy was adequate for the anticipated use.

Makes leveling up post in all directions a breeze!!! The handy stretchy strap, will fit around almost any post and securely holds it in place, without falling off. It makes the job a one man operation, it also is magnetic for leveling up steel fence posts. It also levels up horizontally along with vertical. The indexing stops every 15 degrees, it is also guaranteed for life.

Easy to use, especially like the attachment strap for hands free use.

This might work good on a round post but it is by far the worst post level you could buy for installing a square post. It will not stay tight to the post and needs constant adjustment.

When using this with the strap on 4x4s it opens the level up changing the level. Garbage.

I purchased this level to assist with the installation of some 4 x 4 Posts. The level worked well and was easy to place on each post and allowed me to use both hands to do other things as I did not have to actually hold the level. I would recommend this unit for anyone installing posts.

There is no way to lock it at 90 degrees so it does not fit well on square posts.

Great little tool! Makes leveling steel posts convenient When you don’t have a third hand to hold levels on two sides. Before ordering this set I’ve owned one for about seven years and it still works great. Just figured I’d order two brand new ones at the same time, especially at the price!

One minor problem The strap on one broke out one hole. sewed it up and good as new. Little heavier strap would help

Great hands free tool to help get the job done right fast . It makes a two person job one person and is easy to use and saves a lot of time . This is the best post level out there and is easy to use with confidence Also is great for leveling appliances because of the magnets

Would not fit correctly on a 5" vinyl post. I could never get it to make the 90 degree wrap around the corner. It may be designed for round posts

I bought my first one over 20 years ago and have installed hundreds of pipe posts ranging from 3"-12". My original still works fine and just bought another one as a back-up. Being hinged makes it very universal, well worth the money.
