I have had the Amana freezer for about 6 weeks. It was a great help over Thanksgiving to be able to cook ahead and freeze. I only dislike that it came with only 1 small sliding tray. It has lots of storage room and it's actually lightweight - easy to slide around. Great product at a great price.

Seriously.... a year and a half and it quit. Do NOT purchase this product.

Delivery was great! Freezer is a good size for plenty of overflow from kitchen freezer. Quiet compressor.

I had to crank it up all the way just to keep it below freezing, and I had a good amount of venison in it that I didn't want to lose. I bought this Amana freezer and brought it home, set it up, leveled it, and after letting it sit a while to let it settle, I plugged it in and in about three hours it was 8 below zero F. I put about half of my food in it, waited a couple of hours, and put the rest of my food in it. A couple of hours later it was at 8 below zero again. Setting it up was easy, I'm really happy with this purchase. A great freezer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a 7.0 cf chest freezer to store 1/4 of butchered beef. Among the different brands I considered, I chose Amana. It was the right choice. I can keep it in the garage, no problems with the lid seal, it has levelers, and after a month +, I have no complaints. It was delivered quickly, well-packaged, and set up. Once I turned it on, the freezer quickly reached the temperature I wanted and has maintained that temperature without fault. Perfect size for the beef with a little room to spare. Among the best prices, too! I can't imagine why anyone would choose one of its competitors. This was a great buy for me!

My compressor died after 23 months. This unit was kept in a laundry room (in conditioned space, not a garage) and yet it didn't even last two years. A technician came to the house and told me it would cost over $700 to repair it! So, essentially, I paid $220 to rent a freezer for under two years. Stay away.

The compressor died within 2 years of purchase. It's not worth fixing, so we are shelling out more money to purchase an upright. $$ in food loss. I would not recommend Amana chest freezers!

About a month ago, my old chest freezer started leaking & it needed a new seal so I decided to retire it & purchase a new one. I purchased the 7.0 Amana chest freezer and was very pleased with it. It 's so quiet I can't even hear when the compressor kicks on. So far, I haven't had any issues with it. It looks very nice. Just wish it had come with 2 baskets instead of 1, but I can live without the other one. I got it really fast after ordering it on line and the delivery went great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this freezer for the purpose of buying beef at a lower price. This is our first freezer , however at this time it seems to be great. Waiting for our first load of beef.

I have not put this freezer into full service yet, as it is an addition to a home I'm just moving into. However, it runs well and quietly. Since I now again have room for a garden, I look forward to filling it with home grown tomatoes as well as peak season produce from our local farms. It appears to have the quality I have come to expect from Amana products. The capacity of the freezer for the price is an excellent value. I appreciate the indicator light that assures me the unit is running.

I added this purchase to my Amana washing machine in order to take advantage of THD free delivery option. I did need additional freezer space for my Omaha Steaks and Cookie Dough tubs I bought for charity fund raisers ;). It comes with 1 basket. I wish it had another included. Runs very quiet. Delivery was good and the driver placed it right where I wanted, plugged it in and I was in business!

Compressor went after 2 years. Not worth fixing so buying a new one again.

Will not cool below 10 degrees. Control set on max cold.
