Burnt out in 6 months
I bought these about 1 year ago and had to take them back to the store about 6 months ago since they all burnt out. I decided to try another box since I thought maybe those were just defective. Big mistake, now a year later all of those light bulbs have since burnt out as well. Will return and get my money back!

    Dimmable?
Would not recommend these. Poor quality. Dimmable about to half and then cut off. Returned these and purchased LEDs. Much happier with the LEDS!

      Poor lighting product
I used this light infrequently and it burned out in less than 3 years. Definitely not worth the price.

      8000 hour claim not met
Box claims 8000 hours, that is 3 years, assuming 8hrs/ day. About half will last that long, the others will die within 1 year.

Product works well, have bought many things from Home Depot and for the most part have had excellent results.
Good light bulb, ease of ordering. Home Depot is the place where I purchase all needed items for the Church.

        Terrible Burnout Rate
I have recess lighting throughout my entire house, more than 30 high hats, and installed these bulbs in almost every room apprx two years ago. It was a significant financial commitment that I now regret. Some bulbs burnt out within 30 days and others within a few months. It seems like a never ending cycle of periodic bulb replacement every few months. I have a bag full of these bulbs to return today. I'm very frustrated and am anxious to find a better quality bulb. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE LIGHT BULBS.

          Not worth the price
They are supposed to last 7 years. They are starting to all burn out after 2-3 years. The other issue is that it takes about 5 minutes to warm up in the morning, so it is like you only have half the amount of brightness for about 5 minutes. Not at all what I expected especially after paying twice as much for each light compared to old regular lights.

          High failure rate
I installed these bulbs two weeks ago. Three out of six failed already. Customer service was great about taking them back, but a 50% failure rate is really bad.

            Exactly as advertised
The color and brightness are exactly what I expected as I was trying to match 4 other bulbs I have in my kitchen. The bulb has been installed for a couple months now without any flickering or issues.

like the bulbs but 2 have already burned out inside of 30 days
bought 6 of these bulbs mainly because of the dimming feature. like the light it produces but it's been less than 30 days and 2 of the light bulbs have already burned out. will be exchanging. maybe i just got unlucky

            Great, but . . .
Just had our kitchen re-done. We have 5 recessed fixtures in the ceiling. We wanted dimmable fluorescent bulbs. We went with bright white because all the other bulbs made our new honey maple cabinets look very yellow. These have a nice, clean light. They only dim about 1/3-1/2 of range before they go out. We can live with that. However, after about 1 week one bulb just started flickering and then it went out. It will go back to HD.

              Dimmable?
Great price, love the efficiency rating, however.. The spectrum of dimming is minimal, to the point at which I would recommend just getting the non dimmable ones. In addition, I have already had to replace 2 of these lights within the 1st month of usage. The good news is that Home Depot is great with there return policy.
