Great screen! It’s practically invisible! Exactly what I wanted! It has only been up a few days…hopefully it will be durable and allow air flow.

I installed this screen on our second floor balcony a few months back and was very happy with it. The mesh is small and keeps most of the bugs out (not sure if it works for no-see-ums). And then we decided to install impact windows, which included sliding glass doors for the balcony. I removed all the screening and saved it for another project. A friend lives out of state and I keep an eye on his condo, stopping by and running water, etc. His patio is first floor and the screening is torn in several places, allowing the lizards and bugs to enter. I took my 'used' screening down to his place and installed the screen on the door and the bottom half of his patio. My leftover pieces were only 4' widths so I will buy the larger length for his upper panels. Anyway... as you can see in the photo the newly installed screening is almost invisible, especially when compared to his old metal screening. I had also saved the spline from my earlier install and fortunately, it fit his install as well. I cut several 2" pieces of the spline to hold the screen in place and this made the job very fast and easy.

There are many different colors and styles of screen fabric. My wife and I didn't want dark black and were even thinking about the silver/gray fiberglass fabric but eventually decided on the BetterVue after seeing a video of how it looked. We were impressed with the product especially how it looks once installed. While it is black, it doesn't show up as a dark black screen which is common in our neighborhood and isn't what we wanted. The BetterVue screen was just what we wanted. It is there but doesn't stand out. I replaced the screen fabric in 11 screens with the BetterVuew fabric. It installed fairly easily using Phifer spline and their Screen mouse. I had no issues with tearing during the installation. The key is to use the proper sized spline and tape the frame down while installing the spline. In my case some screen frames used .140 and some used .125 Overall, I really liked the product. It was easy to cut, installed easily and looks great.

Just what I wanted and was very easy to work with. I used it to screen in my patio area and also used this screen to make a screen door. Fantastic quality and arrived in great condition. Very pleased with the product and would definitely recommend it or buy it again if needed for a future project!

I used this to separate the drainage layer from the substrate for a large reptile enclosure. Does the job perfectly, and for a fraction of the price I’d have paid for the same thing sold in smaller quantities by pet suppliers. Cut easily with scissors, but feels sturdy enough that my tegu shouldn’t be able to dig through. Very pleased with my purchase.

The screen lived up to it's specifications. The size weave keeps bugs out and the BetterVue screen treatment makes the screen look invisible. Wonderful product by Phifer.

Easy to install

We used this screen to enclose our patio so we can enjoy it without the mosquitoes, gnats, wasps and beetles.The screen was easy to work with and install. We used staples to attach to treated wood and were able to get a tight fit.The only disappointment was the cardboard core wasn't strong enough to keep the carrier from folding the 8 foot long screen in half leaving a crease that we had to deal with.

Needed to replace screens on my sunroom. Sand Hill cranes and Turkeys fight with their reflections and leave holes that are unsightly and let bugs in. Many options in screening that I didn't realize but employees in Windows and Doors were mist helpful. I also bought 100ft. of 3/16 cording for installation. I already had the screening tool that makes installation simple. You will need a flat service to give you a good work service. Plywood across 2 saw horses is a good solution. I purchased black fiberglass screening as it is flexible and easy to work with. Use sharp razorblades to remove excess screening to minimize frustration.

This screen lives up to its name! Our customers really like it, and one back porch screening job led to two more. The 96" width reduces framework and increases the view even more.

A bit thin but worked for my project and it looks great AND no more bugs!

Insects ate through this screen in one day

We used it to screen in our patio. Great Product, our patio looks great and no insects or mosquitoes!!

Bought this screen to screen in my front porch. After years of summers fighting off the bugs and not even being able to go out on the porch at night, I was fed up lol I have even seen a bat fly thru in the past :( While this was not an easy project for me to do by myself I did do it....maybe not perfectly, but the porch is screened and the bugs are out and that is all that matters! This screen was easy to work with. I laid it out on the floor to measure it so I would not have to some how hold the whole roll up while screening, it cut easily with scissors. Easy to see thru. I finished it just last week and so far it has made it thru a storm. I think it will hold up well, if it doesn't it will probably be because of my installation not the product haha All in all it turned out great! Would recommend this to others. I bought this online but bought a smaller size for the bottom sections at the store. As usual the Home Depot staff was very helpful, cutting all the pine trim for me that I used to frame it in :) Love Home Depot!

The screen had runs in it like what you would see in nylons. My wife noticed them after I completed the installation. I do not wan't to replace the screen again as it took over an hour to change it out, so I will wait until my dog ruins it. I requested a refund online and was told I had to go in and talk with a store manager. Since I placed the order online for in-store pickup this is a stupid policy

Used this to replace seven window screens, with plenty left over. Worked fine, easy to cut, and easy enough to get tight with some practice. I did find that the material is very delicate -- I nicked or tore it several times with the spline tool.

I was surprised by the 5 star reviews. I would recommend it, if you want cheap. I purchased it on the hopes that because it was black it would help cut down on the light coming in, but it is very thin and flimsy. I even doubled it for a couple of my screens. I will agree it was easy to work with and cuts easily with scissors, but for the price and durability, I would recommend the Phifer Black Pet Screen.

We used this screen with the Screen Tight system to rescreen our porch and it worked wonderfully. Purchased a longer/wider roll from Lowe's but ended up needing more, and this was a better value for the amount we needed. (It's got a different name at Lowe's, but same brand and description, and the product is the same - can't tell a difference at all, even now that it's installed on the porch.) We have only had it for a month so I can't attest to durability, but it does a good job keeping the bugs out and doesn't obstruct the view.

I have never seen a screen that I cannot tear a thin 1" strip, except maybe metal screens. The viewing clarity is good. I cannot compare with something side by side but it does look pretty clear. I installed this in a 6'x8' openings in a gazebo and this will last for a long time. in my photo, i took up close and at an extreme angle for you to see the screen but as you can see, the next opening is also screened but you cannot see it in the photo.

This is the best screen that I have come across. The view is almost unobstructed. The only problem with this screen is that, because it is almost invisible, people have a tendency to try and walk through it!

My parents recommended this product because they used it on their porch a few years ago. We installed it a few weeks ago and have been very happy with the results. I was very easy to install with a staple gun and regular scissors. Once up it was virtually invisible. I had to remind the kids not to run through it!

This screen is perfect for the porch we just built. It does not block the view at all and was easily installed. It withstood gale force winds this week and looks like it did the day it was installed! The order arrived quickly and Home Depot had the best prices on it.

Quality fiberglass screen. Worked perfect for enclosing patio with Screen Tight track and .175 spline from Screen Tight too. It's small enough to keep out the tiny bugs, but doesn't diminish the view. Would definitely buy again.

Even with the screen in place, the view outside is pretty clear. Loving it.

Very easy to work with. Looks fabulous on my back porch.
