Rust on weld joints, poorly machined threads on pole joints. Some support joints are bent. Will return.

Overall this rack does what I expected. HOWEVER, there was a manufacturing defect in how the threads on the support poles were machined. 3 out of 4 poles did not thread in tightly. The threads were either stripped or over milled. Since we had the package apart and the rack partially built, I wrapped a 1 inch piece of gaffers tape around the threaded end of each of the 3 support poles that had a problem. It took some effort and a second pair of hands to grip the bottom support pole, but we were able to securely thread the other 3 poles in. After adding the top 2 shelves, the unit is very stable. As per safety cautions we put very light items on the top 2 shelves and the heavier items on the bottom 2. We also installed a set of wheels, so we would move the rack around the room it is in. For functionality, this turned out to be 5 stars for us, but manufacturing quality is 3 stars.

I purchased 3 of these to use for work. Of the 12 legs 6 of them were stripped out. I returned 2 of the units and repurchased them, when they came in I opened them before I left the store. 3 of the first 4 legs I put together were stripped out. JUNK!

The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because one of the bars interior threading was stripped and I had to use gorilla glue to put it together.

Not real easy to assemble for one person, but once assembled the serve the purpose nicely.

Product was cheaply made, components missing in package and some components bend. Packaging upon pick-up was torn and mangled Contacting the manufacturer based on the information given ion the packing list was less than easy or customer friendly.

Not clear why the vertical poles aren’t one piece. They don’t thread right which results in slightly uneven shelves. Some of the pieces came with black rubbed off. But it was easy to put it together and seems pretty sturdy

Once you get the hang of the plastic clips the shelves go together easy. The shelves and poles are no as beefy as the picture looks.

The product is good. However, manufacturer and selected shipper are NOT what I expected. Ordered same shelves TWICE. Both times products arrived in SERIOUSLY damaged box, most protective shipping materials missing, and shelves and poles scraped. Products appeared to be used/returns.

The shelving was of good quality, reasonably rigid, and relatively easy to assemble. The major difficulty I had during assembly was having the plastic wedges that clamp around the uprights pop loose and fall out of reach on the floor while lowering the shelving on top of them. The only major issue I had was finding that the threads on the bottom of the upright into which the casters screw were an M11 metric thread rather than the English thread I was expecting. In the end I found that wrapping about 3 layers of electrical tape around the caster threads was enough to hold them in place.

One threaded insert would spin while threading, but, visegrips solved the spin problem. Will probable buy another to finish the wall.

The shelves are fine and the perfect size for my needs. Getting them intact, however, is difficult. These are relatively heavy shelves and Home Depot ships them in the storage box, which is not appropriate for shipping. UPS destroyed the box and scratched the shelves. I returned them and re-ordered to be shipped to the store after the HD employee said it was shipped Home Depot to Home Depot, so no UPS involved. Not true. It's sent via UPS to the store. The shelves were once again scraped down to the metal in the corners, but after waiting two weeks with boxes all over the house waiting to be stored, I received a discount and took the shelves home. I had also ordered the casters paired with this unit and recommended in the questions. DON'T DO IT!! These shelves require 12M casters. You can order that size online for 30 to 40 bucks apiece, or you can do as I did and find someone to bore the legs to a half-inch stem instead. HD carries half inch casters with an appropriate weight limit for $10 each. If you do this, you won't be able to use the leveling feet anymore, so be sure about having this shelf on wheels.

This is very sturdy. Exactly as I had hoped. We bought three of these(different sizes). Used them in our basement, so now(with the bins we purchased) made everything organized.

The Shelf is great. When you get a shelf this big I prefer to have casters with it. Going by what Home Depot recommended about the HDX casters. These casters have a 3/8 in. threaded insert for shelves. The Shelf has an insert of M12 by 1.75 pitch. Only casters I found with this pitch are $25 a piece

Ended up returning it for a 48” as it didn’t fit in my space, but both were well made and sturdy.

This shelf is exactly what we needed. Deep enough for big bins and plenty sturdy.

It's durable and easy to assemble. Instructions were great, just wish it came with casters.

The product it self was nice, HOWEVER it was obviously a return. When the box arrived it looked as if although it had been opened and poorly taped back together. On a first impression this was very disappointing. We ordered online and thought it would be coming directly to us new. Then it was noticeably a return because some pieces (shelving end caps) were broken and some pieces were assembled and not disassembled when returned. We were able to manage to still put the shelving unit together because it would have almost been more inconvenient to return since we are a government agency and we are on a strict purchasing time line. This is the second time this has happened using a different ordering method where the shelving we received was missing pieces and was a return.

I ordered 2 of these shelves for my garage. They were the perfect size for what I needed. I was disappointed to discover 1 shelve was broken and there were no levelers for the legs ( 1 of the deciding factors in purchasing this product ). When you make a purchase from Home Depot you expect to get what you pay for. I always have in the past but I didn't this time. The boxes were old and too destroyed to try and return the product. Very disappointed and will never purchase this brand again.
