I needed to replace 6 rotten posts on my pole building. Cut off well above rotten area and cleated on new in-ground posts. Installed these post protecters on each post prior to placing in ground. They seem to be great idea, fasten securely to post, have up-thrust design to keep post firmly seated. No more rotten posts. The only reason I did not give a 5 star was that they are a bit loose on the posts and the corners tend to flare out somewhat at each edge. Had to grind the concrete floor around the previous posts so these would fit in. A bit of work, but job is done now and very satisfied.

Installed perfectly when instruction followed. Would have preferred if material was a littler thicker (more rigid) for finished look above ground. Used thin backer rod and silicone to prevent water from running down post and into sleeve.

I'm hoping these will make my new 6x6 (Doug Fir, ACQ 0.60 pcf, FOHC) posts placed in concrete last longer. We'll know in about 40 years. That's the life I want for the retaining wall. I also coated the posts (3 coats) with Henry 107. The hardware that came with the covers is good quality and the contact at the company that makes these is friendly and helpful. I feel the price is a bit high - but if they make the wall last 15 years longer it is worth it.

Posts slipped right in. Using to protect ends of the 16 ft post from both ends as they are bridge supports. A little pricey, but worth it.

I have reviewed these from a variety of sources, I have also talked directly to the owner for I had concerns if they would fit or not for I am using 3 ply Glulams which are not 5.5”x 5.5”, he instructed me to order the quantity I needed and send him the order number and they will send me the proper protectors for my post, I did and they were sized to what I had

Good quality. They fit my 6 x 6 green treated posts snuggly but did slide on all the way by hand except one which required me tapping on the bottom with a 2x4 to help it go on. That post was slightly oversized. Posts are actually 5 1/2 x 5 1/2”. The lag bolts and sealing washers provided worked well to attach the sleeves to the posts. After pre-drilling the holes I used an impact driver to install the lag bolts. I did not drill open the optional drain holes at the bottom. I did seal the top of the sleeve to the post with silicone caulk.

Used this product on some 4 X 4. They worked great. So I bought these to used on my new utility barn. I am putting up this month.

Post protector. Great product and great company. The owner of post protector company solve my problem of covering an 8x8 post by using 2 6x6 covers and he shipped quicker than standard shipping for the product to be here for the construction crew. So far so good. In my opinion, this is a great product. No one should ever sink a post in the ground or concrete without installing a post protector. That is unless you want to replace your post sooner than you expect. Average cost per post protector is approximately $25..... Cost of replacing a post on an established structure......? Cant beat the return on investment.

Got fast shipping and super customer service direct from the manufacturer. Protectors for perfectly. Included lag bolts will ensure posts never move. I'm confident my deck posts will never rot. Was able to backfill posts with dirt instead of lots of additional gravel.

The post protectors are the proverbial barrier of protection. Lightweight, impervious to moisture and durable. A truly great American company, engineered and designed by true Americans. If you are planning to place a post in the earth and would to ease your worries about rot. This is the product for you.

These post protectors are simple to use and seem like they will offer good post protection. I chose to drill drain holes at the bottom due to dry conditions and goid drainage, I would not drill holes in wet soil.
