I bought this to inject air flow into my outdoor fireplace chimney to create a vinturi suction. The proble is the one They sent me is MUCH closer to a T. The side pipe is much shorter tham shown in the picture and as I said the angle is way off POOR quality control.

These were used for a dust collection system in a woodworking shop and as others have stated the branch angle on these is no where near 45 degrees. I measured it at close to 70 but if your system has enough power to overcome the extra losses, they'll work just fine after sealing the branch joint.

This 6 by 6 by 6 wye was just what i needed. it was used near the end of my run in my dust collection system.

Visible gaps in the seam line of the branch. Exhaust gasses can easily escape. Returning the item to nearest store. No quality control a\is apparent regarding this vendor.

Nice, heavier gauge than the typical hvac wye. I ordered these because I needed the crimps reversed for a dust collection system in my woodshop. Good construction and good welds.

Got here to late and the material was very cheap light weight verses Lowe’s store heavier more better quality weight

It doesn't match the picture whatsoever, the branch angle was getting close to 75° from the trunk instead of the 45° shown. Might as well buy a tee instead of this.

Worked well, I needed this wye for a dust collector vacuum system. The crimp ends are reversed on this model, designed for pulling air thru ductwork I.e-(vacuum) compared to pushing air like most are designed. This keeps wood chips from hanging up on crimped area.

NOT what you see in the photo. The angle in the photo is 45, or very close, which is what I thought I was paying for. However, the ones I received are more like 65 to 70 degrees. Makes for inefficient air flow. AND, the crimped end won't fit inside any 6 inch non-crimped end. If I didn't need them right now I would send them back, but I'll have to spend my time and money modifying them to fit like they should. It's like Home Depot thinks people will put up with poor quality. Do they think we don't tell others when we are talking shop?

The only complaint I have with this product is that the angle is not 45 degrees as advertised but closer to 60 degrees. Another reviewer noted this, but I thought it may have just been a bad batch. I was wrong. I am going to try to make this work, but Master Flow and Home Depot should correct their product description.

I purchased 16 of these for a wood shop dust collection system. They arrived quite fast and were well assembled, but the laterial was attached at 64 degrees, not 45 degrees as advertised. This will cause an additional 1/2 " to 1 " of static pressure loss on each run. I kept these because my system could handle the additional loss. Other than the angle issue they were good quality. Master flow needs to either improve there quality control or advertise them correctly.

I am using this for a dust collection system, so the crimping here - opposite end of the other style - is essential in maintaining proper air flow and reduced turbulence. Good gauge, nice feel of quality here.

Much better built than the lighter gauge version. I used this in a dust collector system for my new woodshop and it worked very well. I would order this product again.
