Perfect for privacy because of nosy neighbors

Excellent product and very on budget

This summer has included several, days-long hot spells here in San Jose, Ca. Temps were in the very high 90's and low 100's. Hot for this area. My 60+ year old house has no insulation in the side walls. I used this reed material as shade for the south side of the house. I draped sections of this fencing sideways from the eaves, using two 6 foot 1x2 boards to sandwich the material and hung it from the eaves with air space between it and the wall. This kept the house much cooler during the hottest days.

Inexpensive, and easy set up. Decorate it with artificial flowers or however u like.

Arrived in good condition. We used it as a privacy screen on our back deck. We wanted to allow for plenty of light and air to come through and, it’s perfect for that. If you wanted a less “see-thru” screen, you would need to double up or, buy a larger thicker type of bamboo.

if you really want to block out neighbors get the large Reed bamboo wall even though it is more expensive. This looks good but won't 100% block out people.

For $250, I get a brand new looking fence stapled over old existing wood and zip-tied to chain link. Rather than spend $5,000+ on a new fence. Goes up in a few hours. Easy to install.

This is the second Backyard X-Scapes 6 ft. H x 16 ft. L reed fencing we have purchased because we are so pleased with the value for the money. The first reed fencing panel lasted for three years before fading and looking ragged, but to be fair it was outside through several harsh northeast winters. We zip tied one end to the chain link fence pole and my husband and I worked together to evenly "stretch" the fencing to the next pole, secure with zip ties, and then stretch back over to the original position. A 16ft panel will cover one standard 8ft chain link fence panel in two layers of privacy. Works beautifully. Would recommend to anyone seeking an inexpensive privacy solution for a chain link fence.

We have a Tiki Bar theme around the pool area. We use this to cover the existing fence for atmosphere. Usually need's to be replaced every 2 years, due to sun damage. We have tried staining, which will get you a few extra months of use.

I bought this to hide the junk yard my roommates dad has at our house. We have a small part of the yard cleaned out and I wanted it to be a proper area to hangout without having to look at the mess. When I first started putting the fencing up I realized it was very see through, barely hiding the mess. I ended up using brown tarp behind it to make the fencing no longer see through which worked perfectly! If you’re buying this know it’s see through and you’ll either need multiple layers or come up with another idea like I did.

Jut what I wanted. You can see through and still hide my neighbors junk pile. It really made the back yard.

This quality was good and it arrived when predicted. The box was in good condition as was the contents. I just wish the single rolls were as inexpensive as elsewhere...as I did need another roll and I ordered the same brand elsewhere as a single roll, due to cost. The quality of the single roll was VERY BAD and not as good as the reed fencing in the 4 Pack. It had many broken reeds and was really a mess. This 4 pack was from Home Depot was in really good condition. It is a little more transparent than I would like, especially in the bright sun, but luckily I live on the Southern Oregon Coast and we don't have that many bright sunny days! Wouldn't you know that the one day I take a photo of it, it is a historically warm and sunny day here!

This reed fencing is only a slight visual screen. You will be able to see thru it. Don't bother doubling or tripling it up, it won't change much. Depending on light and angle, it will appear solid. It is an inexpensive means to create a natural kind of fence. It requires a backing (chain link, post&rail, expanded wire etc) that you can bale wire to. Shipping was convenient and free.

This is actually more of a screen than a fence, but it is perfect for what we needed!

It looks great and (for the price) has nominal coverage. Overlay two panels to get total privacy.

it's a little less see-through than it used to be... I have it doubled now, and you can still see through it but I still like it, overall.

Perfect for what we needed

Easy pick up and they look great!! Awesome when your neighbors have the taste of a hounddog!! Haha!! They weren't expecting a sly, quick cover up, in record time!!

Tried purchasing this item in store so I can see the quality and privacy it would give, but the item wasn't available at the store. I had to go by the previews I read. Which seemed to be ok. When receiving this item, I could not believe how terrible this 'privacy fence' was. The reeds were broken throughout and gaps of various proportions. There was no way this item reflected the item in the picture advertised. I'd give it NO stars, but I had to give 1. I would say the damage could have been made when the delivery person threw the boxes on the ground, but it doesn't explain the gaps in the loose weaving of the reeds. Very poorly made.

I doubled it to make an effective screen. It works well. May 15th

Fence was easy to install with just zip ties to an existing chain link fence. It's not as private as I had hoped, some gaps between the reeds, but it's more private than it was before.

Cheaper to buy the bundle online than in stores. Worth it. Been using this bamboo for years, holds up pretty good outdoors, may need to replace in a couple years, probably hold up excellent indoors. Great decor.

The 16 foot sections were slightly unwieldy however assembly solved as a "2 person job". Lovely aspect on the garden perimeter.. Let's see how it survives the N.Vermont winter!
