I bought this in-store because it was inexpensive. All of the packages had kinked hoses in them. I hoped that the kink would just undo itself once I opened the package and extended the hose. It did... for a little while... then the kink slowly came back and eventually backed-up the dishwasher since it couldn't drain. Spend a little more and get a braided hose that won't kink.

The instructions say don't kink or crimp the hose. This hose came pre-kinked due to the way it was packaged. It's flimsy and thin walled. It will kink if it has to bend. Back it goes.

I installed a dishwasher in a kitchen that wasn't originally designed for one, and was able to make it look like it was supposed to be there with out loosing any cabinet space. With this hose it has a nice industrial feel to it that lends itself nicely to how we have decorated the kitchen.

Unlike the ribbed hoses that do not kink, this thin-walled hose will kink easily, causing discharge water to back up into the machine. Buy the ribbed-style hose instead.
