This coat/hat rack comes in pieces and requires assembly. There are three pieces that make up the center pole, and as the diagram provided as assembly instructions is very vague, it's difficult to tell which piece is supposed to be joined to the other. I made the mistake of joining two of the pole pieces incorrectly, and it was then extremely difficult to unscrew the pieces as they lock once assembled. My husband had to use a locking wrench to get it apart for me. The three feet each have a small dowel that fits in a hole on the pole, and a screw to secure and tighten. The hole into which the screw fits is quite narrow and I couldn't use my regular screwdriver as the shaft was too thick. Finally I found a skinny screwdriver which fit in the hole. However, while one of the feet fit quite well against the center pole, another had a big gap no matter how much I tried to tighten it. All in all, this is not a great quality coat/hack rack. Then again, it's only around $20.00. But you get what you pay for, and I think I would rather pay more to get a better product.

This is a very economical great addition to my foyer. Extremely easy to put together. The support legs slide into the bottom part of the rack. All other parts of the coat rack screw into place. This is a great value for the price. The item comes in a smaller box and is very easy to accept in the mail or other shipping sources. I would strongly recommend!!

This was delivered on time. The picture of the rack is accurate. I think it is a good value for the price and its function. If you want higher quality choose another rack that is higher priced.

I ordered this rack & when rec'd I found it was missing one of the three floor contact pieces. Drove to Home Depot to return for refund & reordered. When second rack was delivered it was MISSING THE EXACT SAME PIECE. Home Depot gave me $30 gift card for my trouble. Did not reorder a 3rd time!

Product deliver as promise but when it arrive, the mid section is cracking and when I call home depot to ask for a replacement part, I was told that the company does not have replacement part, I can only return and reorder a new one so I return the product to a local store

Easy to assemble and stable.

I was initially leery when I first saw the online photo of this, but gave it a try anyway. I was pleased when I opened the box. The finish of the wood was very nice, (Wood Stained), very minimal assembly and only 3 screw to install. All pre-drilled holes matched up - assembly time was 7-8 minutes, and when I was done I had a quality piece of furniture that was quite stable for hanging the heaviest coat. Well worth the money

Good product for the price, but I couldn't get the three bottom pieces screwed in tight. However, we have used for several weeks, and it is very steady and is not falling over. It also looks nice.

A very nice looking functional design with a light oak finish. This coat rack is sure to dress up any home. It doesn't take up much room and is very useful for coming in out of bad weather to hang a wet jacket or coat on. It has a twisted stand style which adds a bit of art design when not in use or covered up by long coats. Some assembly required with simple tools. Available in cherry stain finish.

I received this coat rack to test for Home Depot and it looks great. It's hard to write a great deal about a coat rack. it does stand there and holds coats! The rack was very easy to assemble and it took only a few minutes. Very straightforward directions. If you are looking for a coat rack for your entry way or an extra one in a bedroom, this would be a great choice.

I've been wanting to redo my entry for some time now, so when I saw this coat rack I thought it would make a nice addition to the other changes I made there. It looks very nice and it is very stable sitting on the ceramic floor tile I have in my entry. The instructions that came with the coat rack were clear and easy to follow. I thought at first the feet might show some defect in workmanship but once assembled they looked perfect. I put a heavy coat on one of the coat holders and it broke off. It held the lighter coats all right. I'm going to see if I can get a replacement. Maybe it was just one defective hook. The other hooks held the same coat all right without breaking.

When you see the size of the box, you do a double take, because it doesn't look big enough to hold the coat rack. But it does. Assembling the rack is easy. The only tool you need is a Phillips screwdriver. You only need it for three screws. Everything else just screws together. The legs are held in by a combination of a dowel and a screw. This is where you need the screw driver. You can use glue on the dowel, but it isn't needed. The screws get hidden by a deep pocket. You will have to use a screw driver for the screws, as the pocket is too deep and small for a driver bit. The pole comes in three sections, and screws together. The seams are not visible when screwed together. The pegs screw into the top pole piece. It is hard to tell that everything is screws together, and is not glued in place. Overall, it is a good looking accent to my room. The stain looks good, and has enough clear coats fo give it a nice shine.

THIS 6-HOOK COAT/HAT STAND IN OAK, NOT ONLY LOOKS GOOD IT DOES THE JOB OF BEING ABLE TO HANG UP YOUR HATS AND COATS, THE DIRECTIONS ARE VERY EASY TO FOLLOW ON HOW TO PUT TOGETHER AND PUTTING TOGETHER TAKES LESS THEN 5 MINUTES! IT IS A VERY GOOD LOOKING PIECE OF FURNITURE, AND GOES WITH ALMOST ANY DECOR, IT IS NICE AND STURDY AND WONT TIP OVER IF OVERLOADED, ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT SOLD AT THE HOME DEPOT!

When I opened this up, I was impressed with the heft of the main parts. Unfortunately, assembling the base was tricky - the parts did not slide together easily; and when I tightened the base, it developed a crack that needed to be glued. The finish is like a dark cherry; there is definitely a reddish cast to it. The stand was very easy to assemble – no tools required. Though, because of the crack in the base or poor part alignment, it doesn’t sit plumb, kind of like looking at a crooked Christmas tree! I hope this will hold coats once the glue dries. For now, I don’t want to put any weight on it for fear it will break – again. And I'll probably do something to plumb it up - like adding buttons to the bottom. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth the price.

Arrived with a huge crack in one of the sections and a quarter-sized chip out of another. Obviously I didn't even bother to put it together. Just boxed it back up and returned it. Waste of my time really.

This is a great coat rack for the price!!! I would recommend this for anyone. Easy to assemble and a beautiful color.
