These were not current Smarthome versions, and took well over a week to get them to the store. We had a previous order of them and found they didn't match current models for button LED color and brightness, along with louder internal relays. Used on their own somewhere they might not be as noticeable. We actually had to rotate out the ones from the first order to less noticeable locations. We decided not to pick up this order after using the previously purchased ones. Ironically we are seeing a bill for them anyway on our cc statement!

I used the Insteon 6-Button On/Off Keypad, a Insteon 4-Scene Mini Remote and Insteon 2466SW ToggleLinc Relay to replace some old X10 switches. These work a lot better than the X10 ever did.

Replacement upgrade caused the older relays to not work cause they weren’t compatible with the new version. So we needed new relays too.

Keypad does not provide enough feedback. Different keys have different feels. I am returning the product.

PEOPLE BEWARE! ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER, THIS INSTEON IS A KEYPAD THAT CAN SWITCH 20-AMP LOAD ON AND OFF, BUT THERE IS NO DIMMER FUNCTION AS HOME DEPOT DESCRIBES. DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT DIMMING AS A FEATURE.

I had many Insteon dimmers & switches installed in my house about 8 years ago. All worked well for a period of 1 or 2 years. Now, Over 70% of them have failed due to poor quality rockers and electronics. If you do not want to continually replace these units, then I would recommend not buying them.

I bought this to replace the original Insteon switch that came with the house, which failed. I could not get the new switch to work despite following the exact wiring of the original, and plan on returning it. It is needlessly complicated. Easy to connect but difficult to use in practice.

This switch replaced its earlier version, which was basically the same...just a smaller in size. It works just as well as the first one, which was very nice.
