Second Brinkman grill-Awesome!!!
Took a bit to assemble. But sturdy. Putting it through it's paces this week. So far it's performing great! I grill about 275 days a year, as well as bake on it. This grill outperforms my expectations!

Feature Rich, but quality lacks
I purchased this grill because I have had great luck with Brinkmann in the past and this one looked to be loaded with great features. Upon assembly, I find that all screws are inserted into punched tapped holes. No riv nuts etc. Easy to strip with little effort. The main handle on ours only had 2 tack welds along it's length and was filled with sand ( weight?) every time you open or close the lid sand dumps on the food! Used it once and consider it unusable because of this. Fryer igniter cable is 6 inches too short. I called Brinkmanns support line to be met by an auto attendant that said I would be placed in a queue. 2hrs later no call back. I then entered a support request on their website only to receive a thank you email with an offer to buy a grill at discount! Poor quality, Poorer customer service. This grill may go back to Home Depot

Good grill for the price
I purchased this grill to replace my old Weber grill. Although the Weber is constructed better than the Brinkmann I would have had to spend at least twice the money to duplicate the features and size. The only think I am not crazy about is that the back of the grill is not covered by a solid panel. Good looking grill too!!!

You might want to assemble the grill yourself. Kind of a let down.
I wanted to give this product a good review as I feel it is a decently built grill but the assembly from Home Depot leaves much to be desired. My first issue was that the store had damaged the product during assembly for which I was given a slight discount on the product. Next, the recommended cover did not fit which required a trip back to the store for exchange...No problem. Then I noticed that the grill was missing one of the rubber protectors that fit between the lid and the frame...back to the store I go. The grill seems to be on the rickety side but that is something I may be able to solve by going through each and every nut, screw and bolt...not something I really want to do. I've used the grill 4 times in the last 2 weeks of owning it and it seemed to work great...until I used the sear burner. I turned on the grill as I normally would but included the sear burner in the warm up. I did not engage the sear feature but ran it as a normal burner. I heated the grill for approximately 2-3 minutes so I could use the wire brush to clean up the grates from the prior use. Within this short period of time I noticed that the grill thermometer had maxed out past the peak temp so I quickly turned down the burners to low. As I was cleaning I noticed a smell of burned plastic and noticed that my included rotisserie motor had melted and separated into two pieces. The heat was so great that it even damaged some of the paint on the side table of the grill. By design the grill is very prone to discoloration on all of the "stainless" parts. The local store no longer has this product in stock so there is no telling when I may receive replacement parts or a new grill. This has been a very disappointing experience.

The side burner quit working within weeks of purchase. Then the blue lights won't light up anymore. Now, the main burners and burner covers have deteriorated just from dropping juices (I don't use wet marinades or sauces; only dry rubs). The auto-light feature now only works on 3 of the 5 burners. I've only owned this COVERED grill for 2 years! Never again Brinkmann!

    BBQ

    Brinkmann declared bankruptcy
Like a fool, I bought this product tonight (12-20-15) as a xmas gift. After getting it home I did read reviews. I looked for what everyone was complaining about and sure enough, the handle is full of sand and was leaking everywhere. The rotisserie motor is to close to the heat. Did further research and sure enough. October 8 2015 Brinkmann filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy

Complete misrepresentation by Home Depot of the Brinkmann 6-Burner Dual Fuel Gas Grill
I purchased this product today (12/12/2015). Dual fuel is misleading, it does not include a natural gas conversion kit, Home Depot does not sell the appropriate conversion kit and Brinkmann has declared bankruptcy and is no longer selling product (see web page brinkmann.net).

    Good with qualifications
The grill works pretty good as a grill. The sear burner is just another burner with a different grill. I thought the side burner frier would be great but it requires a pot that fits the recess which limits its usefulness for any other use. Plan on 1/2 gallon of oil for minimal use. The rotisserie burned out within 30 minutes the first time I used it. The 5 lb pork roast was not well balanced (best I could do before cooking) but should not have overloaded it. I'm looking for a replacement motor since that is a prime reason I bought the the grill. Thought I was getting a full featured grill but wound up with just a grill. Would be nice if the tank location was off to one side so the rest of the lower compartment could be used for storage.

    Nice Grill
Not sure what problems others had with putting this grill together. Took me maybe an hour. As far as cooking, so far I am very pleased. The grill gets plenty hot, saw some reviewers didn't think it got hot enough, it does. I've grill chicken, pork loin chops, hot dog and hamburgers so far and all were excellent. I really like the Sear burner, it puts on nice grill marks. I would rate it 5 stars all the way around, but haven't tried the rotisserie yet. Probably do a Cornish game hen this weekend. No worries so far.

    Like it.
Good sized cooking area. One side a little jammed by rotisserie bracket hanging over grill. Nice included feature though. 6 burners are nice. Temp control seems ok. If using rotisserie must turn burners on or off to get desired temp. I put meat over burners 4 & 5 leaving #6 to turn off first to lower temp. Downside u must remove grates to rotisserie. Not all, just where meat will be. Darn, should have taken photo of last roast. Sear burner is nice. Never used the side burner on old bbq but looking forward to using the deep fryer on this one. Could probable do corn or soup in it also. Has temp gage and removable drip tray I wanted. Many don't. Has a fuel gage. It's like a built in scale. Works ok but wouldn't say I'd extra for it. Would like to have a handle on end to drag bbq around and hang utensils on. Will probably do something myself. Knobs are nice but need better marking for position. Overall I like it. Have used couple dozen times for bbq's of 2 to 25. Mine has copper colored top. Nice touch. Use the 80in cover. Giving a high rating but feel they could always make these a little better. Small note. Does have some weight to it.

Bad customer service, making junk and feeding the throw away culture.
This grill came with a broken burner new; I just lived with that problem for a year. now I need a spare part. After three weeks of calling (4x on hold every time 20 min or more) and emailing (6x told me to use website that didn't work, gave me non-working phone number), I FINALLY got through to someone who informed me they will not sell me the replacement propane jets that I need. I had to buy a whole new grill and throw this one away. Big corporation, bad customer service, making junk and feeding the throw away culture. Huge waste of my time and money!

        Awesome grill!
My parents bought this for us as a house warming gift. We hit the jackpot! I put it together in less than an hour with no issues. It really is a pretty great price as well. 6 burners, a rotisserie and a deep fryers all in one beast of a machine? What a concept. Love this grill and we use it every chance we get here in Florida.

        Great Grill - No Complaints
After reading some scathing reviews and also reading some glowing reviews, I came to the conclusion that the gripes of most users were caused by unrealistic expectations or inexperience with gas grills. The grill came very thoroughly packed, cushioned and bagged. Assembly was a snap. The only glitch being one of the locking swivel casters was not threaded to allow it to be screwed into the base. Rather than stopping assembly and calling/waiting for the correct part (which one reviewer did so and had two of the same defective casters sent to him), I drilled out the base hole and glued the caster in with two-part epoxy. After placing the pre-assembled grill/burner assembly on a patio table, I was able to roll the assembled cabinet against the table (which was slightly lower) and pushed the grill right onto the base without having to have another person help me lift it into place. After seasoning the grill, I cooked a large rib eye steak to perfection using the Sear-X. The next day was kabobs, followed by a rotisserie pork butt roast, all cooked to perfection. To keep the rotisserie motor from getting too hot, fold a sheet of aluminum foil to make a 6" x 6" square, cut two slots and punch a hole for the rod to go through, place on the bracket - instant heat shield. Many reviewers complained that there isn't a cabinet back. The reason is simple - ventilation. Your LP gas tank is down there and the heat from the grill needs to go somewhere. This grill does everything I bought it for and more. I am very pleased with it.

        Junk
I bought this BBQ grill earlier this year based on the advertisements as it is suppose to be a quality grill. WRONG the unit consistently puts out low heat and makes for a very long cooking process, basically stewing the meat. I do not know why Home Depot even sells this type of junk. They should carry better quality merchandise and provide their consumers a better experience. If you are considering buying this unit think again. 100% junk.

          Very Impressed !
Bought 2 months ago. Assembly took around 8 beers but had no probs. I see others saying its flimsy with cold spots. I find it very sturdy, and the heat it puts out is very consistent. I wouldn't even try to cook on hi. It hits 300 in no time w 2 burners. I've had nothing but stellar results on everything I grill and I grill weekly. You won't come close for the price on a grill this big and features. I keep it protected out of rain and have a cover for it. So far no sign of deteriorating. I love the grates as they heat and clean easy. The sear feature worked great on rib eyes, but haven't tried the deep fryer yet. I'm giving 4 stars now since Id like to wait on the 5th star for longevity, but I see this grill lasting a while. I've had plenty of grills in the past and I can definitely say so far it's smoked all of them,

Real Bad don't go near it
Horrible grill. The burner rusted and not operational at all. Called them and they said will call back, heard a machine message seven days. Sent them e-mail responded after seven days and asking to fill out warranty form and and the purchase receipt. Wrote them but no answer yet. Who keeps a receipt these days. Never will buy Brinakman again. I had top notch Coleman grill for 11 years, when the burner was not I called and they said discontinued that model. Loved Coleman for a long long time.

Needs Improvment in Quality and Service
The price, features, and over all design are nice. This is my first Brinkmann and I am not impressed with the quality nor the clarity of their instructions, nor their customer service. The screw holes are tapped into the metal and some are stripped out from the factory. I am still playing phone tag with Brinkmann on clarification of the natural gas conversion instructions. When you call them, the automated message says they have a chat feature on their website. This is not true, they need to fix that. You have to leave a call back number and they will get back to you whenever. Like I have time to sit around and wait for their call back, REALLY! My other big complaint is that this grill HAS NO BACK PANEL. So what is the point of the sides and front doors if the entire back is open? I purchased some sheet metal to fashion my own back panel as I would really like a place to store all my grill accessories without the neighborhood cat sleeping on them. When I actually get the grill assembled and cook on it i will update the review.

          Great Grill
We purchased this grill a few weeks ago and have been very pleased. Nothing was damaged in the package and all parts were there and identified in a closed packaged, and the grill assembled as the instructions laid out. Overall it took about 60-90 minutes including turning it on and seasoning it. In my area it was $30 off, so was $399 from Home Depot. So far it has grilled everything and very well, no dryness in steaks, burgers or chicken and the side burner I have been using for grilling veggies in a wok. I normally use natural gas but am starting with propane this time and can buy a conversion kit if desired. The new way these grills use propane is great, no high flame flash burns and raw meat inside, its a nice even cook. Brinkmann has done a good job correcting the issues I've read in these customer reviews, one being the melting rotisserie motor as it was designed too close to the grill...now they have it mounted on metal extensions placing the motor now about 5 inches to the side instead of right up against the grill lid. Also, the door handle seems pretty sturdy and no seam showing. The only thing I believe its missing, that are on other Brinkmann models, is side hooks to hang cooking utensils. I ended up drilling small holes and hanging S hooks thru to hold my utensils. Definitely would recommend this grill.

          the rotisserie is junk
the rotisserie is junk, so don't buy it planning on using the rotisserie more than a couple of time. It will also cost you another $60. dollars to convert this grill to natural gas. The two main reasons I purchased this grill. Otherwise it is just another gas grill.

Very Pleased With the Grill and Dunkirk Home Depot
Let me start out by saying the folks that work at the Home Depot in Dunkirk, NY were very helpful. I wish I knew the name of the young woman that helped me yesterday afternoon to say thanks, she went over and above helping me. I chose to put this grill together myself only because it was easier to transport due to it's size, so for those of you without a pickup truck this may be the way to go. Unpacking the grill the parts are clearly marked with the contents and protected very well from shipping damage. Putting it together was simple and straight forward, It took about1-1/2 hours total before I was grilling. If you have any mechanical ability this assembly should be no problem for you. I did compare this model to the others Home Depot had but for half the money this grill is a great value, In my opinion this grill should be in the $800 price range with the features it has compared to Weber and KitchenAid. I did grill with this one time last night and this thing heated up within seconds, its that fast! The sear function worked like a charm and even when you turn it off the grill really holds in the heat. I am really impressed with this product so far and I would recommend it highly, if you want to spend double the money for a weber with less features then that's your choice.

            So far, so good
Grill was easy to assemble. Near completion, I discovered the hood handle cracked half the length with sand spilling out. Contacted customer service and with in days, promptly received replacement. Had difficulty removing factory install screws, but replacement handle fit perfectly. Also, converted the grill to natural gas. Again, had problem with factory installed screws. Tool in conversion kit for removing propane LP gas valves was useless after removing first valve, but I did get the job done using my own tools. Found one electrode wire not connected. Easily correct. Barbecued first time last night. Grill heated very fast and did a fine job.

Great grill - but SEARX burner stopped working after only a few months.
I've enjoyed cooking with this grill many times over the past few months. The best part is the SEARX burner which allows me to cook steaks of any kind to absolute perfection. The problem now is the SEARX burner no longer ignites. I can hear the clicking sound when I try to ignite it but the is no spark. All of the other burners still ignite, just not the SEARX. Hopefully someone can advise how to get this fixed soon, thank you!

                Excellent Grill!
I purchased this Brinkman Select grill about four weeks ago (assembled) and have been extremely pleased thus far with the quality and overall performance. While I haven't used the rotisserie or side burner yet, the grill works beautifully as does the SEARX component. The grill also heats quickly and evenly and is very sturdy. I shopped pretty hard before making my purchase decision and, for the money, don't think there's a better value in a larger grill with deluxe features. Regarding covers, you'll definitely need one suited for a 70" size as a standard 65" cover won't fit properly.

happy and sad at same time!
I was SO excited to get this grill .. We had it 3 days.. used the rotisserie... The motor melted and the chicken burned :( .. Called customer service, they said.. "oh yea that's a known problem & sent me a new motor and new brackets that keep the motor further away from the heat of the grill. Then next month I opened the top, and sand came pouring out of my handle! It split open on a seam, and leaked sand all over our food :( .. Called again .. they shipped a new handle. No today I notice the front metal where the knobs are is sticking out.. I look and 3 of the tack welds are broken off .. now I will call again and see what they say.. Keep in mind.. its only 2.5 months old, & covered w. a Brinkman cover at all times when not in use :( .. im sad because I like the look and cooks so far.. but its falling apart around me .. ive used it like 10 x max ..:( .. Brinkman .. call me !

                  Great grill
I found this grill online and found the price to be the thing that drew me to it. The more I read and watched the video the more I wanted this grill. I made my mind up I'm getting it. I went to the store very skeptical thinking this was kind of a gimmick with the fryer and sear feature. I thought how could you get all this and quality at that price. Note I have a $1000 dollar Brinkman Cimmeron Smoker that's wood fired and ways about 300lbs it's solid steel and that's what made me think they can build a quality product I'll check this out. I went to the store using the Webber grills as a reference of quality. They cost twice as much and have half the features but are very well built. At first glance this grill is huge. Looks well built and appealing. The finish and color are very nice. My neighbor took me so we could use his truck to haul it home in box. I assembled it. He's a die hard webber guy and the whole way to the store he was trying to sell me on the webber as I told him about the Brinkman. First look we started with the webber. First thing i noticed with them was fit and Finnish very nice. Brinkman was too. The big thing lift the lid on a webber it's very hevy feels like quality. I checked several other brands all felt light and flimsy. Not the Brinkman heavy and very well constructed. Had the nice well made cast iron burner grates. The deep fryer well thought out and nicely constructed. The sear feature was a huge thing I wanted and this has it. The other thing that's a extra cost in every other grill the power rotisserie is included! That's nice option. All this for $399 what a deal. Long story short I assembled this grill with no trouble at all hardware was there went together easily no issues with stripped nuts bolts as I read on other reviews. I think they could easily sell this grill for $800 or more best bargain buy I have got in years very impressed buy it.
