Outstanding!

The package came with glass dividers for an 18”x18” box, but the Heavy Duty Medium boxes in the kit are 22” x 16”, rendering the glass dividers completely useless.

Sturdy boxes in great sizes, with everything needed! The kit even includes wrapping paper, foam envelopes for knick-knacks, a roll of tape on a dispenser, and a black marker to label boxes. After I helped my son move out of his dorm and into an apartment, we used the boxes to build a Cub Scout obstacle course. Our boys and girls loved it! These boxes are thicker than the shipping boxes that we found in the town’s cardboard recycling area - they’re definitely sturdy enough to use several times, and still endure Cub Scout roughhousing!

Cost effective Dining Room Moving Kit, but think carefully about your specific needs before choosing! The Home Depot 6-Box Dining Room Moving Box Kit (Model # HDDR1) can be a cost effective option vs. buying the pieces separately, but ONLY if you need ALL of the pieces in the kit. Also be aware that HD has grouped SEVERAL moving box kits together on one web page, and the reviews you see might be for a Dining Room kit (like this one) or for a closet with wardrobe boxes, or an entire four-bedroom house kit!! Make sure you're reading a review that pertains to the kit you're buying. Specific to the Dining Room kit: - Cheaper than buying all the pieces separately. - The 3 small-size heavy duty boxes really are heavy duty and could handle a stack of stoneware plates. - The 2 medium boxes and 1 large box are all “regular duty” and would handle light weight fine china or crystal stemware, but you wouldn't want to fill them with a stack of heavy stoneware plates. - The medium foam pouches will fit most dinner plates, bowls or glassware. - The roll of 50 dish foam sheets is good for stacking plates or even wrapping smaller decorative items. - The moving paper is adequate in terms of weight, but the sheet size is a bit skimpy. To wrap larger items you will need to use multiple sheets and tape. - The marker writes fine, but is a bit slippery to hold. It would be nice if it had a rubber grip. - The tape is adequate, but if you're doing a long distance move or putting boxes in storage, you might want to splurge on heavy duty tape that is easier to use and will hold up over time and to changes in temp and humidity. - The set does NOT include a “glass divider kit”....nor does it claim to. But you’d think something intended for a Dining Room would include that! Either choose the (larger) Kitchen kit, or buy the Moving Glass Divider Kit from HD, which fits the medium box in this kit. In summary: read the kit descriptions carefully, make sure you know what you are (and aren’t) getting, buy the individual extras you need. Good luck with your move!

I love the large amount of storage provided in the 6-box Closet Moving Box Kit. The three awesome 34" tall wardrobe boxes each have a heavyweight bar for hanging clothes with hangers. It's a perfect size for lifting and moving. These are very sturdy boxes. They hold their shape and stay solid. Two small and one medium box for folded clothes, shoes, and accessories. There are ten padded bags for packing jewelry safely. A roll of packing tape with a handy dispenser is included for securing the boxes, and a marker for labeling what is in each box. Everything you need for packing up your closet in one convenient kit.

This is a nice set of boxes. Comes complete with three wardrobe boxes, complete with a metal rod to hand your clothes, 1 medium sized box and 2 small boxes. They are all heavy duty and made to withstand the heavy weight of moving items. It came in this huge box and at first I didn't know what it was! On the bottom of the shipping box was a black marker tape and some padding! They thought of everything except someone to fill the boxes for me.

Nice little kit. We used it to pack up a bedroom with a bunch of decorative ceramic plates. I felt confident in the heavy duty boxes to hold, carry and stack on top of each other. Thoughtful of the kit to include a marker and foam pockets for the plates. It also came with two heavy rolls of paper in case you didn't have newspaper for glassware. The tape also comes with a cutter so you don't need scissors. If your store doesn't have the kit, you can always build your own. This kit has all the important goodies. I'm glad the boxes are 100% recycled products!

Convenient bundling of moving packaging items available in multiple configurations. The 7 boxes are made of thick cardboard to ensure a strong/secure container. The kit also includes a roll of (70) paper packing sheets, (10) small foam pouches, packing tape roll, tape roller and a black marker. The only issue I had was that the foam pouches were not in their original packaging but rather loose. This was not a big deal as all 10 were present and they seemed to be new and unused. We got the bathroom configuration, but you can also get Closet, Dining Room, Four Bedroom, Garage, Kitchen, Living Room, Master Bedroom, Three Bedroom and Two Bedroom Box Kit configurations.

The kit contains everything if you want to wrap your furniture yourself and box up your items. It took about an hour and a half off of our move time saving us some money!!! The boxes were very sturdy and the kit had various sizes. There was more than enough shrink wrap and bubble wrap to wrap our entire 2 bedroom condo! The professionals had nothing to do except move and place the furniture!!!

This master bedroom kit arrived with accessories just as depicted in the HD website photo and description. Various sizes and strengths of boxes. including extra large heavy duty sizes, tape with tape roller, bubble wrap, foam sheets, plastic wrap, marker, etc. It is great to have everything you need to start packing delivered right to your door. Kids packing up for college, or moving back home. Made in the USA of recycled materials. Home Depot offers to buy back any boxes you don't use with a receipt.

A great combination of boxes and packing materials. We recently sold our home and this is the first time I have ordered boxes by the room. We have both a living and family room we were trying to pack and when the moving kit arrived it was perfect. We received both standard boxes and heavy duty boxes with was perfect for the heavier items like the books and all of the glassware that we have. I had plenty of packing materials with the bubble wrap and the paper that was included. I didn't even know electronics bubble wrap existed. We were able to pack the living room and still had enough stuff left over to pack about half of our family room as well. The pack came with the packing tape, small shrink wrap that helped us be able to keep collections together as we wrapped and packed them. I was very impressed with everything in the pack and felt it was a very good value fore the money.

This is a great starter kit for someone who needs to move a small apartment because it has not only the boxes but it has packing tape, plastic wrap, packing paper, black marker and foam inserts. Personally I would use these boxes for fragile items like plates, glasses etc... The boxes are thick so they can withstand some abuse. My daughter used the boxes last weekend and she was very happy I got them for her.

This Home Depot 12-box living room moving kit makes getting ready to move easy. It comes with different size boxes, 12 of them, and includes three rolls of bubble wrap- two small and one large roll. This kit also comes with a tool of tape, a tape dispenser, a roll of plastic wrap on a wand , as well as a marker pen to label your boxes as you pack. It’s a great packing kit with what you need to get started.

This Home Depot 14-box garage moving kit is great. It simplifies getting the supplies you’ll need in the moving process by putting the basics all together for you. It comes with multiple sizes of boxes, 14 of them, and then includes two rolls of packing paper as well as a package of large foam pouches to put items in, a roll of tape, a tape dispenser, and a marker pen.

Have moved many times in our 53 years of marriage - some great distances -even other countries- and others locally. The days of collecting boxes from the grocery are over because real flat pack moving boxes and packing paper are sooooo much better and prevent broken dishes and art objects. We are in the process, currently, of doing a local move and we still had a very good supply of bubble wrap and a few boxes. We were ready to pack up the kitchen and this kit seemed to be a good deal since it contained everything we would need to transfer all the pots and pans and dishware from one kitchen 30 minutes away to the second kitchen. Really good moving boxes like are in this kit can be used over and over and so can the packing paper and foam sheets. We used the supplies in the kit about 6 times to get the whole kitchen moved. This kit contains 3 small, 3 medium and one large box - they are heavy duty- 2 big rolls of packing paper sheets, a stack of foam sheets and a roll of foam, plus packing tape and a marker. Because the move was so close by we made several trips with the boxes in our car and , as I said, re-used the boxes and paper several times. We flattened the boxes and stored them away for when we are ready to move a whole bunch of ceramics and art objects in a few weeks. If we need additional boxes, Home Depot has a nice selection.

First of all, know that you can buy all of these items separately at your local Home Depot. I had this kit shipped for pick up at the local store near me. It was shipped to the store in one outer box that looked like it had gone through the wringer. Got it home and found nothing missing and no damage to the major items. The black magic marker that's in the kit was totally crushed and dried out, but I had a Sharpie so I didn't care. I didn't buy it for the magic marker. The boxes and other items worked well. Those heavy duty boxes are truly sturdy and no dishes were broken during the move. We did buy some bubble wrap separately to add to the materials.

This is a nice assortment of boxes and packing material; I wish there had been recommendations/guidelines as to what to pack in the different size boxes (small and medium size, regular and heavy duty weight), and what to use the different packing materials (paper and foam) for. I guess I did okay, though, because so far, nothing is broken!

The order was packaged so horribly and arrived damaged and ripped open in certain areas. This led to the tape, packing paper, marker, and wrapping to have fallen out during transit. They need to figure out a better way to ship these items because this was unacceptable and I don’t have half of the items I paid for.

You are better off to pick the quality of the various items yourself rather than depend upon some supposed savings by buying this, or any of the other, packing kits. HD sells Scotch tape but here you get a brand you never heard of. Scotch has a dispenser much like the one you get here, but better and stronger (and hopefully not broken as were two of the ones I got). The packages of wrapping materials (paper, foam, bubble wrap) are smaller than any they sell in the store. The boxes may or may not have any brand identification on them. The only plus I have found in the four kits I ordered is that the boxes they ship them in provide some much needed extra cardboard to use while packing your move. On the subject of shipping, that was a comedy unto itself that took two days and six HD employees to get right. All told, very disappointing and no real savings.

helpful for moving, personally think the U-Haul kitchen moving was better with better price. We used every item and no problems. Had a boring move, what higher compliment is there. Biggest issue was shipping, the kit went all over the country before it made it to our house (That is why 3 star review).
