very badly made, blade too far away from vise could not use on anything flexable. as in flexable conduit

Steel city 6-Amp 52-1/2 in. Horizontal Portable Metal Cutting Band Saw is the worst design i have ever seen. I tired to use this saw but after one day of cutting mild steel (14 gauge tube and 1" x 1/4" flatbar ) the blade was already warped and dull. It was so bad that it was cutting all the metal at an angle and straight cuts were impossible after 3 hours. Part of the problem is how far away the very small bed is from the blade. Its about 3" and that makes cutting 1/8" flatbar impossible because the blade grabs it and bends it have way through the cut. I really wanted to use a band saw but i had to go back to my Milwaukee 6190-20 14" Dry Cut Metal Cut-Off Machine. It's a fast, clean cut and can a handle a good work load. However the blades are expensive at $110.

Home depot doe not have replacement blades, you have to get them from steel city and they cost over $ 32.00 each very very hard to find them the blades are a odd size 52 1/2 so be aware. Produce great very well made.
