Save water and money
Light, rather attractive rain collector. Also one of the cheapest ones available. Comes with plastic spigot and a filter to be inserted into a lid opening. Assembly is easy. Manual suggest two people to tighten a spigot nut. I did it alone by jamming the spigot with an wrench outside while tightening the nut with another wrench inside. To maximize water collection - we do not have much rain - the collector was hooked up simultaneously to two downspouts using two different approaches (see pictures). Additional items purchased to complete the installation were: 53 gal. Rain Collector Stand (Model # 55110002008081, Internet/Catalog SKU# 202403995) DIY Rain Barrel Diverter and Parts Kit (Model # RBK-0001, Internet/Catalog SKU# 203256576) which also acts as an overflow mechanism,; Flex-A-Spout White Downspout Extension (Model 85010, Store SKU # 193181, Internet/Catalog # 100057879). Gutters were cleaned and protected with plastic mesh: Amerimax Home Products 6 in. x 20 ft. Black Roll Gutter Guard (Model 85198, Internet/Catalog # 202962716). I had to deviate from instruction on the Rain Barrel Diverter installation due to the design of the collector's rim: an openings in the collector and in the downspout were drilled 2.5" below the rim instead of 3" indicated in the manual.

Easy to install, ready to use!
This rain collector is super easy to install. The assembly for the spigot, lid, filter and bulkhead was as easy as you could hope for. I did have to cut some plastic away with an exacto knife in order for the spigot to thread all the way in, but that was pretty easy. Once assembled, installing this rain collector was straightforward and easy as well. I used a hack saw to cut an existing rain gutter and placed the barrel underneath it. We actually bought two of these and placed them underneath two different rain gutter drains. The only downside so far is that on a heavy rain, a lot of water flows right over the mesh screen not entering the barrel. The barrel still filled up though with no problems.

Basic inexpensive Rain Barrel.
Originally I was going to make my own Rain barrels because paying ~$100 for one seems outrageous. I saw these go on Sale at HD, while still more than I really wanted to pay it saved me time trying to find barrels and setting them up. A little on the flimsy side, these are very basic barrels. They are completely round (no flat side to place against the house, which is what I wanted for my application). Basically they are a medium duty trash can with hole in the bottom, top and in the lid, but it works. The spigot is a cheapo plastic job that I don't think I'll get more than a season or two our of before I need to replace it, but the barrel should last a while. On sale this barrel cost just about as much as it would have cost me to make my own and it saved me time and effort. Assembly wasn't too bad if you are reasonably handy but could see how it could be frustrating for an inexperienced home owner.

A good value.
The barrel is everything it was advertised to be. Very easy to install the parts supplied with it. There was a 3" rain the day after I set it up so it filled to overflowing. Wish I had purchased two more. I bought the stand that goes with it and it makes it easy to connect a hose or to put a watering can under the spigot.

Great value
These rain barrels came with everything you need to set up, step by step instructions, I had two set up in under 10 minutes. They came just in time for the big rain and worked flawlessly.

Worth the sale price
These bins were clearance priced and a good deal. Decent quality and appearance and are what they advertise to be. Of the 4 I bought, only one had a complete set of parts, with the others all missing a washer, bolt, or screws.

    Rain barrel
This barrel is fantastic. During the last rainfall I collected an entire barrel full of water. I can't say much for the longevity of the barrel since only owning it for a few months but so far so good. The spigot is plastic so only time will tell if it holds up over time.

    Needs design improvement
Good price for all the parts needed to be a rain barrel but the threaded piece on the faucet part at the bottom of the barrel was not long enough to be threaded on correctly. My husband had to add some other pieces ( good thing he's a handy man!) in order to get it put together. Hopefully we will have rain soon to test the barrels.

Poor design, spigot does not fit
I bought this one when it was onsale for $32. I bought 6 of them, one of them has a hole at the bottom so I got the refund. Out of 5 left, only one spigot fit, the rest of them does not fit. I bought the brass spigots, but they are not really fit either because the hole is too low and too deep. The design is really mess up. Would not recommend this product at all. I had other barrel 40gls for $60 a piece, and it's totally worth the price than this.

    Impossible to assemble; terrible instructions
Like everything else you purchase these days, assembly is required. The instructions that came with this unit were abysmal. They were on one page that looked like the 30th generation of a xerox copy, with very sketchy directions, obscure terminology, and minimal, inaccurate pictures. The unit that appeared in the few pictures was different from the one at hand. Finally, it became apparent that the hole through which the faucet mechanism was to be inserted was not large enough! Less than 24 hours after picking this up, I was back at Home Depot returning it, vowing to ignore deals that appear to be to good to be true - because they are!

      Good Rain Barrel
So far so good. It works perfectly though I imagine the plastic tap will eventually have to be replaced
