Perfectly Good Fence Panel, Easy Assembly, Looks Like Iron
I hesitated to buy this because of the other review, but I took my chances and I'm glad I did. I have a row of hedges that have grown to two stories and flop over easily so my intention was to get some kind of fence that would create a visual and physical border and contain the hedges. I ordered four of these panels and eight posts by the same manufacturer. Each set came in a separate box in good condition. Opening each and looking at the directions was slightly bewildering but it became clear that there are three cross bar rails and 15 pickets. The directions are fairly useless, but I figured out that all you have to do is lay the three bars in position horizontally with all the pre-drilled screw holes facing up, then stick all 15 pickets (with screw holes facing up) vertically through picket holes in each crossbar. It will look like the picture shown on this product. Then screw everything in to place and it's finished. No offense to the other reviewer, but this is obviously a job for an electric screwdriver or drill with a phillips head (which is what I used). I'm NOT very mechanically inclined, but I had a drill and a phillips head insert so no "wrist pressure" is needed. The first panel took some figuring out, but I assembled the second one, from taking off the wrapping to finished panel, in 20 minutes- I know because I timed myself, and I didn't rush... just worked at an average pace. Two people could probably complete a panel in less than 15 minutes. I have looked at wrought iron railing panels and know someone who manufactures them. A welded panel like this could go for more than $300, yet this is only $80 and can be assembled in 20 minutes. As a bonus, this is made in the USA, which makes the product even more appealing. I don't know what the other reviewer was trying to build, and perhaps if you have a business wanting an iron security fence, or have a multi-million dollar estate and are looking for an expense looking fence, or you want to put in hundreds of yards of fence, this may not be the product for you. But if, like me, you want a modest fence border with the look of wrought iron, and don't mind a little bit of assembly, then this is a perfectly good product and it deserves to be purchased.

    Absolutely awful
OMG. Wrought iron panel - is a welded solid piece of equipment that is attarctive and sturdy. This is a 6 inch box of slats and cross rails. Nothing is welded, nothing is solid, there are 45 rust spots in its future. 5 of the slats were crushed like something had fallen on box (although box was undamaged). Screws holes only had pilots so lots of wrist pressure needed. Just awful. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! Please note I am a very active DIY, I have 5 houses that I do my own maintenance on and have lots of points on my HD account so I do a lot of business with HD, I am not a chronic complainer but this product should be removed from thier product line ASAP.
