Perfect shelves to compliment existing ones. Bought them to hold antique China pieces. Mounting on the wall was easy and the shelves feel very secure.

Shelf looks great and was easy to install. Just four screws through two mounting blocks. Located the studs and leveled the blocks. Shelf slips over bocks for a snug fit but can be shifted right or left slightly to center as long as you don't overload the side farthest from the center of the brackets.

Worked great as a mantle

This shelf is cute but it's a little unsecure with the mounting hardware.

Needed a floating shelf for pics. This was perfect. Good quality, solidly built and easy to install.

The shelves are beautiful, except the paint is chipping. Both of the shelves I bought have spots where it’s worn and it just flakes off. I wouldn’t mind if the shelves weren’t so expensive. You would expect the quality to be much better for the price you pay!

Well made crown moulding, wish they had it longer size but me made it work. The installation is super easy which is one big plus.

The product itself is good quality but had some difficulty with the mounting blocks. They are only about 2 inches wide and studs are 1 3/4 so you have to be careful to get both screws into the stud. I managed using a stud finder but once I tried to mount the shelf I was unable to catch the lip on one of the blocks. My solution was to unscrew the blocks a quarter inch and pull them away from the wall, I definitely needed the finish nails to secure the shelf

This product was not level. it had a crown in the center about a half inch high. This made it difficult to use the mounting brackets because their design depends on the product being level. I would not recommend unless you have the tools and know how to address this issue. It is easy to see why this product is the cheapest option, you get what you pay for. The finished product does look great once I made the modifications to decrease the bow and painted it. I don't think most people will even notice.

I used this shelf above my fireplace and while I think it's gorgeous it definitely is not 48 inches long. Probably closer to 43-44. Assembly was easy and it arrived with no marks or dings. Fast shipping as well! Overall happy with my purchase.

I purchased this 48 inch, lightweight (8 lbs shipping wt, not noted on product description) floating shelf for my Great Room wall after returning a mantel shelf, purchased from Hayneedle, that was so heavy (> 20 lbs), and had a defective mounting cleat, it fell from the wall. It is absolutely perfect for displaying smaller decor. I ordered and had it shipped to my local store, as I had read reviews that stated it arrived damaged. My shelf had no damage, and is in perfect condition. I would absolutely recommend it!

I installed this shelf, in October of 2016, over a fireplace for a friend. She is very happy with it. It is lightweight with small wood mounting blocks, but seems strong enough to hold vases and other items normally placed on a fireplace mantel. The bright white color matched her existing wood work exactly. The mounting process was not difficult other than getting the holes drilled accurately so that the shelf set level. The installation instructions suggested placing small nails through the shelf into the mounting blocks to secure it, but I chose to use glue instead. The shelf is well constructed with no obvious flaws. The paint and finish were very good.

Super easy to assemble, and it looks fabulous above our previously mantel-less fireplace! I had wanted a mantel since the day I moved in and I finally found this one. Only $56!! Such a great price and a really great product. I would 100% recommend this.

I had bought a similar shelf from Lowes and returned it because of damage. The four still in the store were also damaged. Received this one and it was well packed and twice the quality of the others, and really easy to install.

Product looks great and installed quite easily. I like the rich looking molding.

Bought this shelf to do a bit of decorating. Installation was relatively easy and it seems pretty sturdy. Love the way it looks but the only con I'd have is the price. Half the price of a regular bookshelf equals to this one shelf but on the other hand most of these free floating shelves are pretty pricey.

I'm more concerned about the price of things in relation to quality received. This shelf is very nice for how much I paid. It's pretty straightforward, what you see is what you get. I do wish the wood anchors were a bit stronger type of wood (the L shaped brackets that screw into the wall onto which the shelf rests). I wouldn't trust this to hold a large picture frame, but for our needs it works just great. Did come with some cracks on the finish side from knots in the wood, those are easily puttied. Wasn't about to send it back just to get another like it.

Exactly what I was looking for to top the tub surround that (in my opinion) was an odd height. I bought 4 of these shelves (various lengths) and cut them to fit corners (still need to cap window ends per picture :-) ) Shelves are well made and have a plate groove on top. I did have to shim most of the provided mounting blocks to make them align with the pre-routed hanging groove - but that could be due to my non-plumb walls!

these shelves were pretty simple to install. love the color. it is a true white color-it matches the white crown molding in our house. very good detail in the molding of the shelves. i looked at multiple stores (pottery barn, pier 1) and these weren't only the best deal, but best look! the shelves also have a lip to hold photos up. we have heavy frames propped against the wall and it looks great. we stacked two shelves and have about 4-5 frames per shelf and the weight limit hasn't been a problem. all in all, after all my research, i'm so glad i got these! 5 stars!! you won't regret buying!

I like the product and it is great for my uses, but it had very limited instructions for installation. I am not sure I installed the anchors correctly but I used the suggestion to drive a nail through the anchor and the top of the shelf. I don't think the shelf is going anywhere as long as I don't put too much weight on it. I received the merchandise in a timely manner and would not hesitate to order online again.

The shelf arrived in a timely manner with no shipping damage, but slightly warped. The slight bow in the wood is not noticeable to others. It was easy to install, but is held in place by two very small pieces of wood. Won't hold much weight, even though it is rated for 45 lbs. It looks great and is a welcome addition to our fireplace as a shelf/mantal.

I wish there was a slightly larger size or custom order size option. This shelf is beautiful and holds nicely.

I had to sand the mounting blocks to get it to lock to wall.
