Optix 48 works perfect for the project, The owners of condo’s recently installed split a/c and wanted installed into louvre window frames , works good with louvre window opened keeping cold air in and blocking out sound from the outside of building .

I made my wife a anniversary gift. Great product and easy to use once you get the hang of it. However, it is unforgiving and can be a bully. After watching YouTube videos I decided to use a saw. The material is not as firm as glass. For that you have to spend more money and get a thicker piece.

Definitely happy with my purchase and pleased with the manner of shipping. The only downfall was a mirror of this size wabbles a lot and unless you have a means to get it nice and straight, it distorts. Overall very pleased.

About a month ago I used this in a custom frame of 74" X 24" for antique Japanese scroll. It was easy to cut with a Dremel tool (wear protective eye wear! Jig saw didn't work for me), clear as glass, not a blemish on it, (leave the protective film on until you're ready to put it in place), and light weight. Saved money not taking it to be professionally framed so we splurged on a custom frame at a local frame shop. Very happy with the finished product!

Did not meet my expectation

Nice quality material, surface protected by easily removed sheets of paper. Flexible enough to wrap-around a counter, following the curvature.

Perfect for creating a 60 inch tall by 44 inch wide cross shaped window. It cut easily with a jigsaw and metal cutting blade. No chipping or cracking. Very happy with the end result.

This sheet worked out really good for me. I cut it out to put a shield in my car to drive for Uber & Lyft in Houston. Totally Recommend it.

This is probably a great product when used correctly. BUT, if your project requires multiple cuts and drilling holes, as with my application, spend the extra $20 and order the .177thick Polycarbonate sheet that’s also available from HD !!! As many others have stated, brittle and breaks/cracks easily even with every precaution taken. I used this to replace our torn/ripped door screen and install a doggie door instead. Using a “utility style knife” as shown in the video is a joke. I found by trial and error an oscillating tool works the best. This 4x8 sheet was cut down to approximately 36”x60” and then a 10”x 17” opening was cut out. I’m giving it 3 stars, because so far its working great, but the fact that it might crack/shatter from the drilled holes/cut area has me concerned, time will tell ….

I bought a 48 x 96 sheet to begin enclosing my front porch. Very good results! (See image). This was much better than glass for me. Care is required because it will scratch and crack. I tightened a screw too much attaching to upright and it cracked a bit but still useable. I'll buy more as I go!

Hot tub installation guy looked up at the many trees above and suggested I buy some "plywood and cinderblocks" to protect the custom hot tub cover from falling branches. What a horrible looking safety measure for a beautiful deck feature! I came up with the idea of laying two of these across the top instead and the solution is perfect and attractive as can be. I think I will buy some kitchen cabinet hardware so as to have something to grip when I move these off. They are not that heavy, just super awkward to wrestle with.

The perfect material for covering suspended animation life support modules in GERT3 Command modules. Lightweight, thin and easy to machine yet deceptively heavy and sturdy looking to the untrained eye. Frosted appearance does not spoil appearance of passengers inside module and works well with advanced LED lighting systems. Unless you have access to transparent Aluminum, this is the best material for the job. . UPDATE : Engineers discovered late in mission that this material supports the advanced touch video bio system display technology recently developed by NASA, saving much needed weigh and space needed for other ship systems.

thickness is perfect for vent hood lids and other uses. scored with a utility knife, a pocket knife and made other cuts with a metal blade band saw and all cuts were satisfactory. easy to weld using the correct solvent. the only down side was that it wasnt quite rigid enough to support the width of the piece i needed but i resolved that by adding a support piece across the width of the box. drilled holes easily enough with both a cordless drill and a drill press. minimal splitting or cracking once i figures out how much pressure to (not) apply.

Worked well for building cold frame. Very well packaged to protect acrylic sheet from scratches and cracks.

Home Depot had the best buy for the best size and the best shipping deal. A couple other places local wanted a minimum of $150 purchase and/or $150 shipping. Oy! No thank you. Home Depot gave us the size we needed at a great price plus shipped to our local store for free! We just purchased a brand new hard wood kitchen table and are owned by a couple of cats. They love to run and play and slide on the kitchen table. This plexi saves the finish and keeps the table looking new. The table is mostly for looks when not in use for holiday meals. Again, for us it was a great price and the shipping to our local Home Depot was fast, free and convenient.

It came in cracked and the mirror looked like a fun house.

By the time I opened the box to install the mirror, I realized it was damaged. It was over 60 days.

Waterproofing, defeats ,protects ! Installed properly… a lot of bang for the buck.

The product was scratched in a way that it cracked when cutting. I had to throw most of it out and repurpose what I could. Otherwise, the customer service and overall experience in the store was fantastic as usual.

Really satisfied with the acrylic sheets - used 9 to enclose garage area. One small corner was broken when delivered, but did not impact the project so this was a non-issue for me. Protective film is remarkable as no surface damage on any sheet was found.
