I have installed many units and have had great success with them on custom bathrooms. A very simple and easy to install product, but you must read and understand the instructions prior to your installation. If you are unsure view the videos at the company's website. I was amused to see this product being showcased by a "pro contractor" on HGTV that clearly did not follow the the instructions

My contractor saved many hours by using this unit for a tiled floor. This was his first time using this product and he loved it. The unit looks great and should provide a lifetime of use. The customer service department at Redi-Tile quickly addressed an issue I had with the drain cover.The company was very helpful on all our pre-installation questions. The hub on the bottom of pan is too small for 2” pipe. Even after chamfering the pipe for 15 min it won’t fit. Ridiculous

It was lighter then I expected, its more of a shell then anything. My contractor has laid the tile and it looks great but I hear that hollow sound everytime he steps in. We may have to drill a hole in the floor underneath and add some fill foam for stability.

You can only use epoxy tile adhesive on this and the spacing (the measurements) were off just enough to make the tile line up uneven...would not buy again especially for over $740 price point

I had to return it. This item is not to code in the state of MA! You should not be selling this item in MA. This caused me a 2 day delay in my project and probably ~$500.

Having a one piece shower base is very convenient. The downside is you need to pay very close attention to the enclosure you install the pan in. It must be spot on and level or you will have issues with drainage and feathering in of the walls to ensure the tiles lay flat. I used the metal drip rails with this as well but you need to make sure they sit absolutely flush with the tile base or you will have to do extra work feathering in the thinset prior to installing tile. The plumbing is simple, but I would not want to do this if I did not have plumbing access from below. I would use this product again.

Chatted with on line help and was assured that the drain was in the correct spot and it wasn’t. So unit was returned.

Vague instructions. Called Redi Base for support and the guy was rude and had little or no product knowledge. For the price and hassle of this thing we should have had a contractor come in and build a custom base!!!

Expensive, but makes the tiling work go very fast.

The pan was super challenging to install. It took three attempts to get it in place. What has become more problematic is the redi epoxy. It is difficult to handle, gets on everything and becomes unuseable well before you cn use it all. The working time for this stuff is horrible. Ive ended up throwing our more hardened epoxy than i got on the wall. Theres got to be something better!!

I was disappointed that the Tile cement didn't come with the Base. The video that I watched showed that it came with it. When I went backed and looked again that part was gone.

The spongy material is not what I was expecting…hope I won’t regret using it. The fit and shape is perfect

We have not showered in it yet, our tile guy just finished tiling the base and he said from now on, I’m having my clients buy this. It was easy to install, saved time, and the tile was all even when installed. It was a game changer!

Did not come with the epoxy it was supposed to come with. So I hadta spend an extra $70

Light weight and easy to handle. Was a little disappointed that the adhesive was not included like it was in the last Tile Redi Base we purchased.

Went in very easily and told naturally slanted to the drain. Very pleased with this product.

These are a great product. Easy to install. The polymer thin set basically covers the pan floor and bumper. Pail life is about an hour. Be ready to tile when you mix it up. Pre-cut as much as possible.

This is exactly what I needed. Wanted a large shower and this fit the bill. Easy to install but the instructions could be clearer. Also some images would help.

I am a homeowner, but have done many remodel projects and used to work in construction. I went this route as I thought it might save so time, but it was certainly not worth the extra $ paid. First off, if you don't have access to the sub-floor/plumbing, the flange design makes this much more difficult, and much worse than other products I have used. The mfg recommendation for mortar base, does not adhere to the underside of the pan, and as you will read in many other reviews, often this means you will get pockets under the pan and it is crunchy when you walk on it. I had to repair myself with screws and silicon and then waterproof membrane (kind of defeats the purpose of a seamless pan. They require an epoxy mortar to lay tiles, which by itself isn't horrible (although messier than traditional thinset), but they don't give you enough, so if you have to run long tiles vertically, you have to use epoxy for the bottom of the tile where it is on the base and then traditional thinset on the top. Just way more difficult. Also do not spend the extra money for their flashing. I thought there might be something unique here, but it is just formed sheet metal and if your studs aren't perfect, it will flair out. I had to remove it and do with a waterproof membrane. Overall I would NEVER use this again, and next time will just frame myself with backer board and waterproofer. Would have saved time, money and frustration.

Never use one before, but found ease of installing right away. tiling was pretty much easy as pie. considering an ordering snafu( due in part to HD ) the complete project took only 3 days to complete due to time required for epoxy ,mastic and grout to properly set. Everyone who viewed the pics or saw it really thought it was professionally done. absolutely I would recommend this product.
