It doesn't take a lot of room and trust me you get your moneys worth. So far we love it!

This Lasko fan is both very good and very sad. I have used Lasko fans for decades. I have two box fans and a floor fan that I love. So when I saw this nice looking fan, I had to get it. It is different looking but the quality is there to see. The remote is very easy to use and a good size. My biggest complaint is the noise. When I first used the fan it seemed ok, but later on, when I had the TV or radio on it was terrible. I am usually on the computer with something on in the background. This fan is so loud in my office that even on the lowest setting, I can not hear a thing. I really wanted this fan but I have to put it aside. If you do have a place where you need air moved THIS is the fan for you. With it's powerful squirrel cage fan, it really delivers. Maybe a hot porch or on a deck. I really wanted to give it a higher rating but I can't. The quality is excellent...the noise is just too much in my situation. Just need air moved? ..This is the one to get...

I was really torn on submitting this review. The Lasko tower is far better made than the typical bargain dollar variety. The base is sturdier, the remote is far easier to understand, and the entire unit in 5-6" taller than the dollar store one we previously had. It moves a lot of air very well! BUT - we use this for white noise as much as air movement, and it fails miserably. After a few minutes of operation, the hum of the fan starts emitting a low grade shrill sound. It's not consistent and gets annoying pretty fast. It's almost like having a slight case of tinnitus. Would I recommend this for soft white noise? No. Would I say it looks great and moves a lot of air? Yes. Is it solid and stylish? Yes. Does it take up far less room than a pedestal fan? Absolutely! But for our use, it doesn't work. Moved it out of the bedroom into our home office.

I feel like I basically have a collection of Lasko fans. They are a reliable company that makes reliable products, and this hybrid fan is no exception. After opening the box, the fan came in a neatly wrapped way. The base took a little bit of jiggling for me, but it was a pretty easy installation. I believe this is my first fan that's a white, so I really like the color. Really easy remote and control panel to use. Another great addition.

Found product easy to operate with symbol guide outlined in instruction manual enclosed. Clever that remote can hang on back of device for storage. Remote operates from front up to approx. 30 feet from fan and 10-15 from rear of device. Good stability with no movement or shaking. Nice airflow and fairly quiet. Prefer this design over top heavy round blade fans - safer around kids.

My first tower fan and I was shocked by how loud a hybrid (fan+air blower) is. If you like white noise, then these fans are for you, but I’m used to large oscillating table fans that are completely silent. All sound comes from the air blower and increases with each speed. Oscillation adds no additional sound. This is powerful though. Fan speed 1/Low moves a lot of air and is probably what I will use all or most of the time, but still makes quite a bit of sound. High speeds 3 and 4 are super forceful and are so loud that I would not talk on the phone while using them. I’d compare the noise of the higher speeds to a small, 600-900 BTU in-wall/window AC unit. If you have ever had that type of AC, you know how loud that is. The air flows toward the right rather than straight out the front. The bottom 3rd of the grid is closed, so air only comes out the top 15 in. below the control panel. That is between 19 and 34 in. from the floor. The fins are stationary. The air blows horizontal and cannot be directed up or down. I would NOT describe the oscillation as widespread at all. It oscillates to only 45 degrees! That’s a disappointment because when it’s against a wall in the middle of the room, it can only fan 1/4 of the room! I wish the oscillation had varied coverage levels and that it spanned at least 150 degrees, but it pivots just the one extremely limited 1/8 of a circle. A pet peeve is that if it is oscillating when I turn it off, it does not oscillate when I turn it back on, so must always turn oscillation back on again. Why does it remember the last fan speed but not oscillation on/off? The carrying flange on the back top is shallow and doesn’t have a lip at the edge, so the carrying grip for a bottom-heavy tower is precarious. Positives are that it is quite attractive, narrow and can sit on the floor and I feel that I can run it safely around inquisitive pets because there are no reachable fan blades. I like that there are four fan speeds and it moves a lot of air. The full-function remote is convenient, although it did not come with the required two AAA batteries. It works from 25 ft. away and 45 degrees to the side of the face, and finger presses get good feedback. A sleep timer can be set for 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. The 2-pin plug has a decent length cord at 76 in. coming out the back. Overall, this is a decent hybrid tower fan if you’re not expecting silence and true widespread oscillation.

The fan works great and really cools the space on the lowest setting. I am really hot natured and wanted something to supplement the a/c and this was perfect. Looks nice and takes very little space.

I own both the Lasko 40" Hybrid and a Honeywell Quietset vertical fans. I like them both for different reasons. The Lasko is noisier, but solely because it is moving more wind. I don't find the noise a problem on high, and on low it shouldn't disturb your sleep. The Lasko has less features than the Honwywell (3 speeds vs 7, no timer or thermostat control), but they both have remotes - and the Lasko has the features I desire. I use the Lasko in a larger room and the Honeywell in my study. I have had both for ~ month and used them heavily and no "strange" sounds or problems have emerged. I think the Lasko Hybrid is an excellent choice if you want something that will put out a stronger breeze than most any other vertical fan.

Product works fine on our patio. The base is not that secure when it is moved.

Another great product by Lasko, great air movement, an abundance of controls (including remote) and provides great white noise. Have used daily +8 hours per day for over a month with no issues.

Best fan I've ever had

It is a nice little fan. It has a lot of power (if your close to it). Best part is because it it tall and skinny, it takes up little room.

Quiet and effective cooling for small area. A little difficult to clean vents.

This is a strong fan, but there is a constant hum from the motor while it is running. It is not whine or squeal, it sounds like AC hum, like the motor is poorly grounded / shielded. I found the fan to be unusable in the bedroom as a result. Listen to the fan for a while and then turn it off. If your ears feel a sudden sense of relief, the sound is no good. ALL THREE Lasko fan models I tried had this problem! I tried the 48 in xtra speed, the white blower hybrid, and the wind curve!

I love this fan. It cools my entire bedroom. It exceeded my expectations and will definitely order another one.

This fan has great power, so I went and bought a second one, it’s not big bulky.

Not a fan of this fan. I love Lasko but the really missed the mark with this one. The positives is that it takes up very little room and does blow a lot of air out. The issues with this fan is the noise and while it blows a lot of air out, it cools just a fraction of the room.

Great fan. Cools the area but…The fan is loud

This fan has great options. 4 speeps, a remote, and timer. The problem why I am returning it? Noisy. I set it on the 2nd lowest setting for a maximum of 2 hours. Went into the bedoom and my lord, I had to really turn up the volume on the tv because of the noise of the fan. So happy I hadn’t had time to toss out the box (I live in a very small apartment.

Did not cool the room, louder than my last year model 2559 (I like) and cost more.disappointed with this Hybrid and returned it

To loud for my bedroom. Might be okay in a workout room we're it's noisy environments.
