It's hard to open this at the store. Outside of package looked fine. When we opened it the unit had dents all over it. As if someone dropped it off the truck to move it. We haven't finishing installing and will be seriously bummed if the unit has broken parts inside. We have a highly skilled licensed plumber installing it. He said not the best instructions or access to the piping areas but we are installing in wall which might be why it's harder to reach. Photo is of dent AFTER we tried fixing it. Lucky for us it's the side facing into corner. The vent plates also damaged. Needed to bang those out just to get them on.

the unit was easy to install, all parts were there except for the propane line hook up. Instructions are easy to follow.

The furnace seems to be just what I want but the instructions were terrible. I read that before in a review but I didn't think much about it. The directions were for a model that has been changed. The exhaust was completely different. I discovered it after studying the tiny pictures.

Arrived in excellent condition , always worry about that when buying un seen . Easy install works perfect , directions could be better .

this furnac was a disappointment, installed it correctly and everything and it doesn’t provide enough heat and the pilot fire keeps going out by itself. I would not recommend, use your money wisely and invest in something better. I returned this furnace btw..

All Bent up. Looked to be damaged before it was even packaged from the factory. main gas line was bent so bad it was not usable. returned for refund. would not buy again.

Ordering and pick-up through Home Depot was easy. Delivery was quite fast. However, furnace installation was complicated, because of the safety issues that are required by the town where I live. It took longer to obtain the required permits than to order and receive the furnace from Home Depot. I was doing my own installation, and permits are a necessity to ensure safe installation and home insurance coverage.

TOTAL GARBAGE .. not only poorly made but they have shipped me 3 furnaces which were damaged at the factory. Yje packing was not damaged at all. Stay away from this junk .. Any savings will be absorbed with service and shipping problems

Had a defective gas valve brand new out of the box. Williams would only replace valve, not the labor to repair it. HVAC installer said it was a terrible design, took several hours to replace the valve. Do not buy, it's junk. Also, impossible to replace the thermocouple when it goes bad.

Furance was easy to install, put out good heat, would like buy couple more for my houses and like have my friends get it, too.

Product arrived dented but we needed a furnace so asked and got a credit. Product only worked for 18 months. Have purchased many replacement parts totaling $500 but still doesn't work.

Furnace arrived damaged and I must return the blower motor and its attachment brackets. Furnace works well except for the wobble in the fan and bent bracket. Arrived on time.

The furnace itself works great! Puts out a lot of heat and is quiet... unfortunately it showed up with significant dents in the back and side.

The furnace works great and quickly heats up my garage. The furnace did however show up significantly dented in the pack and down the right side which seems to be a trend amongst other reviews...

I am the proud owner of a Williams 40,000 BTU/hr propane wall furnace heater. I am a retired electrician and I installed the unit myself. I have pipe cutting and threading tools and a little knowledge. The installation was easy. The unit worked well the first time I fired it up. I really like the air intake and exhaust system which exits the unit from the back and is designed to go though an exterior wall. We primarily heat our home with a wood stove. My wife and I wanted a heating system other than wood heat. Getting fire wood for the winter season has become more difficult as we have aged. This season will be the first season that we will use the furnace. I expect the unit will meet all our expectations. Our living room area is about 700 square feet. The 40,000 BTU/hr furnace is rated to heat 1,400 square feet. We should be cozy warm. With a fan, I think, we can blow warm air into the kitchen and pantry area.

Very pleased with the unit, heats our 1200 sq ft basement apartment efficiently. Was not happy that the first one showed up damaged and had to take it to the local Home depot when it was delivered to my house. Home depot should have stepped up and ordered the new one and had it delivered to my house and pick up the damaged one. Luckily I have a minivan and was able to load it up with someones help. So..other then having to pay to have it installed 2 times, I am happy with the unit.

First furnace arrived damaged and no evidence to any damage on outside of box. I brought to Home Depot for full refund and then contacted customer service and they took 100 off and ordered another. Next furnace came and no damage found. I installed furnace and to my surprise the fan blade was all bent up. This fan was installed bent up as no damage to outside of unit. I called them and they sent me new fan. All is well and unit keeps our cabin nice and warm

even after reading many reviews on Home Depot about the Williams furnace arriving damaged and beat-up from the factory we ordered this item. It arrived damaged and the furnace appeared to have a lot of abusive handling that didn't show on the cardboard box. That indicates to me that the problem is in the factory and not in the shipping process. I believe that any intelligent quality control person could find and stop the problem easily upon inspection of the process and observing the workers putting the furnace into the packaging. Appears they use wire chokers and a crane/lift to pick up the furnace and put into the boxes and while being lifted are damaged. Probably as easy to remedy as using wide nylon slings instead of wire/rope slings.

When a furnace goes out in early winter in Northern Ohio it is always a stressful situation. The research/purchase, delivery happened in less than 24 hours. The furnace was a direct replacement for the broken unit and had no installation issues. Five star!

i have just got it installed a couple of weeks ago seems to work just fine quite a job to install for a couple of old people but we got it done pretty heavy but runs pretty smooth I hope it continues to do so time will tell I think it is pretty good deal.

I bought one of these units for my 700 sq ft cabin and it works really well. It was easy to install and pretty much came ready to go out of the box. I like everything about it although it is slightly louder than I imagined. That's probably not fair to say because the cabin is so small. Even when the temp went well below 0 it still had no problems keeping up. I wish they could have been able to make the overall unit a bit smaller but even still it isn't that bad.

Sorry we are on the third one, every one of them came to us dented or parts not working. Home Depot employees were very very wonderful about helping us to get one not so dented and working. It does throw great heat just sad Williams doesn't have good quality control on there products before being shipped.
