[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these to hang a framed poster. Followed the instructions but didn't even last 24 hours. Frame broken and picture damaged. Do not recommend.

Terrible. I would rather have the nail holes than the chipped paint where the Command strip ripped the finish as the pictures were falling. They were only 4" x 6", so no - they were not too heavy.

I used this for my mirrors and they work excellent

The hanging strips work great and do not damage the wall. I recommend using them.

I’ve been purchasing command strips and hooks for a while. I use the up to 16 lbs strips for photos not even weighing 2lbs. These strips have peeled paint and the drywall paper and I rent. These are to be non-damaging and renter friendly and are nowhere near.

I bought these to hang pictures in my new place instead of putting holes in the walls. I had a large picture that weights about 8 pounds so I used 5 of the "holds up to 16 lb" strips. The picture fell after 5 days breaking the glass and frame. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! These strips do not work and will ruin your pictures/art. (didn't hold small canvases that weight less than a pound either)

I used them to hang large acoustical panels in my office (8-15lbs each). Attached them to concrete block and drywall. They have held up well and would highly recommend for similar applications.

They don’t hold. I used them on small light frames. Half of the failed. I am replacing lots of glass. While they don’t hold the light frames, they are strong enough to remove paint. The broken glass photo is a postcard in a very light frame.

We hung 16lb wooden shutters on a drywall wall with these! Working beautifully!

I hung a couple of 11 x 14 frames with these Velcro strips. After about 6 mo one fell off the wall and dented my hardwood floor. Then when 2nd fell it gouged the chair rail. When I took the Velcro off the wall it peeled paint. Don’t bother.

Hung up very lightweight baskets on our wall, not even 1lb! And these left tears in our sheetrock! So unimpressed! I now have to speckle and repaint! I would have preferred a tiny nail hole vs these huge marks!

I used these strips to hang laminated posters and when I took them off the move out of my apartment, it took the drywall off with them!! I will for sure owe a HUGE fine because they will need to replace that wall. Very disappointed. Oh, and the strip is still on the wall but I’m afraid to try and take it off now seeing what it has done to the other spots.

I always use the strips that are meant to hold the heaviest frame even on the lightest frame. I follow the instructions but after a few weeks the frames fall breaking not only the frame but damaging the wall and trim in the entire process. Very disappointing!

I installed one then decided to move it. I pulled down on tab as directed, but it tore a chunk off the wall. I have used them before with no issues,

I bought the HD command strips to hang four 14" X 14" mirror tiles. The instructions direct you to remove the mirror after applying the strips to allow the glue to bond and then to reattach the mirror after one hour. I followed the instructions to a "T" and my wall was destroyed. 3M makes great products but in my opinion the Command strip is not one of them.

I will never use these things again. They are really hard to use and you essentially have to hang your picture twice if you follow the instructions exactly. Even though I did, my picture fell off the wall and broke, chipping one of our bathroom tiles in the process. These Command strips are an absolute disaster.

Got a nice picture (16"×26") to finally hang in my kitchen, frame weighed about 5-10lbs. Finally decided to put these Command Large Picture Hanging Strips, to use. Followed the instructions (which were quite easy) and placed my picture on the wall. Well to my surprise, not even 5-10 minutes later, my picture fell off the wall! Frame was a bit chipped, glass not cracked. Tried to place the picture up once again, only to feel that strips were not sticky. They felt as if they had been used a few too many times, no wonder why my picture didn't last on the wall.

Excellent as advertised. Works like a charm. I purchased a pack of 4 to mount a whiteboard which was 13lbs in weight and 4 strips together did the job. Highly recommend watching the command strips video from there official youtube channel on instructions to understand the process of correctly using command strips.

I weighed my display cases on a scale and then purchased the Command Picture Hanging strips that would hold an even heavier frame because I didn't want to take the chance of this falling off the wall. It contained all my handmade earrings. I followed the instructions carefully. Luckily only one pair of earrings broke, BUT the frame broke and it damaged the baseboard when it fell—not to mention the crash scaring my son, who was home alone! While the strips are a great idea to make sure pictures stay straight, I'd use a backup!! The one frame is still on the wall, while the other one fell. I hung them the same way and at the same time. ???

I have been a lover of Command products since they came onto the market years ago. Recently, I purchased new picture strips after moving into a new house. These newest strips have been nothing but a nightmare resulting in broken wall art and tears of frustration. I prepped the walls, used the strips as recommended, and within hours to a couple of days, all of the wall art I hung began to fall off the walls. The strips failed in various ways - some came entirely off the wall, others pulled apart from itself with each adhesive side of the strip firmly attached to the wall/object, while others had the adhesive pull apart from the plastic strip. I have NEVER had this problem in the past and have always advocated for the use of Command strips. Unfortunately I will have to resume using traditional wall hanging methods. Please go back to whatever 3M used to do because I would LOVE to have my favorite product back!

Extremely adhesive my boyfriend and I put this frame up in the attached picture 3 months ago now and it has not moved. The adhesiveade it through the the muggy NY summer and the Velcro is super strong!!!

I was sure to send those that could hold more weight, because I fully expected him to overload them, but his use of the strips just blew me away! He has a standing desk, and numerous electronics. When I first saw his desk I was impressed that it had a power strip mounted underneath. It made good sense, but I hadn't seen one like that before. When I commented on it, he said that he'd added the power strip. This is a large power strip, with surge protection. He stuck it to the bottom of the desk using the Command picture strips, so that he wouldn't have to worry that the power cords for his electronics were long enough with the desk in the up most position. I don't know how many he used, but it's working great! Thank you 3M for a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sweepstakes Entry or not, I highly recommend these strips for any sports room or fan cave. This picture is from my first fan cave where I rented. The pictures all stayed in place for a few years until I moved. When I did, and took them off the wall properly, not one mark was left behind. I have done another fan cave without issues. A tip, make sure you are using enough of the strips. The heavier the picture, more strips you'll need. Also make sure you use them in the right direction, see images on back of package. (Very large paintings pictured were hung with nails because of their size and weight.)

I have been using Command Picture Hanging Strips for a couple of years now. They have NEVER let me down! I have all of my wall hangings, including heavy, heavy mirrors, all hanging with them! I just love how they grip and come off clean if you ever want to move anything! One time I forgot to clean both the picture and the surface with alcohol and it didn't grip very well. So I started over! Both surfaces cleaned with alcohol, allowed to dry and up it went perfectly!

My friends and I have collected shot glasses all over the world from our vacations and created this light weight shelf to keep them on. We had these shot glasses for years and kept them on this shelf for a very long time. Moving into a new house we decided to use the heavy duty command strips that claim they hold 4 lbs each to keep our shelf on the wall. We put the shelf up with a command strip in every corner, in between each corner and in the middle just to be safe. Again this was all very light weight and didn’t even come close to 16 lbs. But if we had 9 command strips on the shelf and they each hold 4 lbs then it should hold about 36 lbs. We followed instructions to mount the shelf properly and let us sit a week without any of the shot glasses on it. Since it stayed up a week we slowly added the shot glasses over a few days until they were all on it. A month later we heard a huge crash in the night to find all the shot glasses destroyed and the shelf destroyed from the fall. We should have never trusted command strips. They do not hold what they say. We lost so many memories that we will never be able to get back. We are absolutely devastated. Do not trust this product with something you care about.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our temporary offices are on loan from a member, and we wanted to hang photos, posters, and other items on the walls without making holes or leaving sticky tape residue when we are ready to move them around or permanently remove them in a few months. The Command Picture Hanging Strips were the right choice, and the Large size easily kept a heavy large laminated poster in place. As suggested on the package, I wiped the application area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. I then pulled two attached strips apart and pressed the toothed sides together, then pulled off the protective cover on one side and attached it to the back of the poster near the top, repeating the process on the back of the poster near the bottom. Peeling off the protective cover on the other side of the strips, I aligned the poster on the wall and pressed the strips firmly in place. Moving the poster to different locations as we decided on a final spot was a breeze. The strips have a tab, so you just pull gently on the tab, and the strip releases cleanly from the wall surface. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants to decorate without leaving holes or other marks on walls or other surfaces.

I thought I'd try these based on the reviews. I bought new artwork for my new office space. I followed the instructions and the strips ripped the paint off my wall. I'll be sticking to old fashioned picture hooks.
