Installed on 4" vinyl fence posts (dropped over existing wood 4' x 4" on either side of an old gate); fit was OK but not tight; used silicone as adhesive. There are more expensive versions of this cap but they all look pretty much the same. If I could find one without seams I'd buy it. Purchase/shipping/pickup @ local HD relatively painless (a welcome change...). In place for about a month now - no probs noted - I'll update if they do not weather well.

We were looking for something to decorate the top of our newly remodeled pvc porch. We were replacing wood with pvc and wanted something fancy to sit at the posts. We found these and they look great. I love how they enhance the front of our house!

It was exactly what I wanted and needed. Bought it for a replacement. One of our had broken

The base cap could be lomnger to provide more room to screw the unit into the post without the possibility of splitting the base. Otherwise everything else was great.

Since it was an exact fit, all I had to do was apply some glue and press it in place.
