The Original works
The options for a good Crescent wrench is far & wide but nearly everything is China made unless you buy Channellock, Bahco or Klein which I recommend as a pro. But if you're stuck with all the China brands, Crescent is one of the best for the price but notice that they're no longer guaranteed forever. Doyle is the same as Crescent, otherwise Irwin & Craftsman, SK are good options. Crescent still has the original design , fitment & price point that works just fine I like the Crescent

Would give it five stars if it was made in the USA but this little guy opens up to 5/8”. This wrench is supposed to only open up to 1/2” but since it was made in China, quality control issues featured this awesome 5/8” opening, Perfect for a pocket wrench.

    Great small adjustable wrench
This is a small project adjustable wrench and perfect. This wrench can even be carried on your key ring. I love the style and wider grip of this adjustable Crescent wrench. Fits perfectly in my hand. This 4 inch Chrome tool has a cushion handle which makes it quite comfortable while using. I love the red colored cushion material. It stands out on a tool board and has a hole at end of handle to hang on a pegboard, or just lay in your tool box or keep as I mentioned earlier on a key ring. And the tool is of course adjustable. And Crescent Brand tools come with a guarantee forever. Not to many companies do that these days. I am very delighted with this adjustable wrench and have all the other sizes. A perfect addition to my tool chest. Thank you Crescent for a fantastic tool. A perfect addition to any persons tool chest. And thanks to Home Depot for providing the public with quality tools you can count on.

    Just an adorable little guy
Isn't this just an adorable little wrench? It comes in so handy for little adjustments and can slip right into your pocket to carry around with you all day! It even has markings near the teeth that has a little roller on it, well it only goes to ½", the max opening for the wrench. I had one of these when i was younger, I gave it to my young son to play with, well you can guess, it was forever lost. So now I have another!

    sturdy wrench
You can't go wrong with a crescent wrench. they are made well and have comfortable handles. they are sturdy, operate properly and do what they are supposed to do. I purchased this with the intent of working on my license plates, which it handled perfectly. However, the wrench can obviously be used for any job, since it is adjustable. It's so nice that the handle is protected, which helps the hands.

    Crescent quality shines again
My biggest problem with adjustable wrenches in the past was jaw wobble and jaws that would not stay parallel. Of course they were not Crescent either. The adjusting knurl is large and well knurled. There is a reference scale on the side with pointer on movable jaw that is pretty accurate and handy for presetting in awkward situation. The actual jaw opening is 1 3/8". The handle is wide and heavy and the cushion grip feels great. There is also an arrow on the handle showing the direction of torque for safest use of wrench. And hey, they have a FOREVER guarantee.

I like the vinyl coating on the handle
I like the vinyl coating on the handle. This make the handle easier on my hands and gives me a better grip on the wrench. It also cushions the handle so when you pull or push real hard on the wrench it is easier to hold onto and it is easier on your hands. I like the fact that the jaws of the wrench have a ruler incised into them showing the width of the opening-helps me with getting the jaws opened to the approximate right size before putting near the work. This real brand name Crescent wrench doesn't cost that much more than a knock off "Crescent" I bought at one of the discount hardware HF stores and I think it's a much higher quality product.

    The "in between" size
The 8" Crescent wrench (item # AC28CVS) is, for me, the "in between" wrench. For small jobs I have the 6" Crescent and for larger jobs I have the 10" and 12" wrenches, but the 8" size is the "go to" for most of my garage/basement chores. It seems to fit most of the jobs I work on (with a jaw adjustment from the closed position to a maximum of 1 1/8" inches). Of course the 10" and 12" wrenches will dial down to that range too, but the 8" just seems to be the more comfortable of the wrenches - especially since the 8" wrench has a rubberized sleeve on the handle. My larger Crescent wrenches did not come equipped with that feature and in cold weather that rubberized grip is nice to have! The fit and finish of the wrench are fine, no mars or sharp edges when the wrench was taken out of the package. Made in China for the Crescent brand the wrench is guaranteed "Forever". I've never broken a Crescent wrench but it's nice to have a guarantee, anyway. The wrench comes with a laser edged scale on the wrench head, so you can "dial in" the appropriate size before putting the wrench to work. In cases where you can't easily get to the knurled adjustment knob once the wrench is in place that's a handy feature to have. See the attached photo. I acquired this 8" Crescent wrench as a duplicate of the one hanging in my garage (an older model without the rubberized grip) - it will be very nice to have duplicate sets of Crescent wrenches in the basement and the garage; it seems like every time I was in one place the desired wrench was in the other! HTH! Regards, Jim

    Excellent little wrench!
It seemed like when I needed a wrench in the basement I'd left it in the garage - and when I needed it in the garage I'd left it in the basement. When the opportunity arose to acquire a 6" Crescent wrench I jumped at it. The wrench is a typical Crescent wrench, adjustable via a knurled knob from the closed position to a maximum of 15/16". The fit and finish are fine - no mars, marks, scratches, or sharp edges. This wrench (item AC26CVS) is fitted with a rubbery sleeve on the wrench handle. This sleeve makes the wrench much more comfortable (especially in outdoor winter temperatures!) than a wrench not equipped with the hand protecting sleeve. The sleeve does not seem to impair grip, even when my hands were a bit oily. (See attached photo). The wrench has width increments which allow you to 'dial in' the size needed before using the wrench. Saves a little time from the old days when some wrenches weren't marked and you had to approximate the jaw opening, try it, and adjust again until you got it right. Not a terrible task if you could get to the knurled knob with the jaws around the work, but if you had to pull the wrench away, adjust, place it back on the work, pull it away to adjust - that got old pretty quickly. With the markings on this Crescent wrench you can get a close approximation before placing the wrench on the work. Neat! This 6" Crescent wrench is made off-shore (in China) but the quality seems to be right up there with older Crescent wrenches I have and the wrench is guaranteed "Forever". A very handy little wrench to have on hand! HTH Regards, Jim

Perfect size wrench for small hands!
I am very pleased with this Crescent adjustable wrench. This 6" wrench is just the right size for me and is so comfortable in the hand with the rubbery grip. Adjusting the knurl is easy with my thumb and does not slip. This is a well-made wrench and I like that it has a measurement guide for desired fastener size (up to 15/16" inch on one side, and 24mm on the other). I appreciate that the jaw stays tight and I don't have to keep tightening it as I do in my old wrench. It also has a hole on the handle for hanging it on a hook. The Apex Tool Company offers a Lifetime Warranty.

The last one I purchased had a sloppy adjustment cylinder that I bought from Home Depot several years ago. Purchased another one that was a little better but you still have to hold the cylinder but it’s a pain. I miss American Crescent tools!

    Cheap, soft metal.
Doesn't hold the adjustment at all and just trying to turn a 3/4 bolt the metal got damaged.

The product is good overall, however quite overpriced for what you get in return.

Neat little crescent wrench for those tight spaces. As an HVAC pro service technician , I use this in those hard to reach places.

I was trying to use for car battery terminals. Frankly still cumbersome and could only turn 1/8 at a time prior to resetting wrench position. Probably limited applications.......

Y4me, While a Crescent Wrench is a very versatile tool and can do most jobs involving fasteners and fittings, it may not always be the best tool for the job. A socket and ratchet are often preferred for car batteries, just keep the handle away from the opposite terminal. Crescent
