[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I were a college student living in a dorm room with little space, this would be a good product for the price. The appearance is nice with a stainless steel exterior, however when I opened the glass oven door and looked at the backside, the "folded" metal edges were not smooth and flat on the glass, but bumpy like it was sloppily assembled. This didn't affect the performance, but it did sway my final rating a bit. The inside tray is a nice feature, but it was undersized for the oven. It could have been larger, and still fit inside. The unit heated quickly, but the height of the oven makes it unsuitable for heating any taller than an inch or two or has an uneven surface. I tried heating up a muffin and walked away for a few minutes, and when I returned, the top was burned while the inside was still a bit cool. As I noted initially, this is better suited for a small kitchen or dorm room, but undersized for a family and daily use. Disclaimer: I received this product to review.

The Oster 4 slice toaster oven is a great little appliance for toasting a sandwich, baking a few cookies, cooking single serve pizzas, and other popular snackitizers. The 4 slice title is a bit misleading, about 3 slices of sandwich bread fit comfortably. It is great for a single person, or college student in a dorm, but I would not count on it to cook dinner for 3 or 4 people. For afternoon, or after school snacks, I would be really careful who you let use the oven, the exterior gets really hot, so care must be taken not to leave anything on top, or nearby, and to not accidentally touch the glass door. The dials and settings take some trial and error, the timer is loud, but sounds like one of those old fashioned white dial timers. Baking is even and true to temperature, however it has taken twice as long to bake items than the package indicates. Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review.

I have had this model for over 5 years and it has been completely reliable. Although I would like a larger unit, I am restricted by the space under cabinet and behind cabinet "garage door" that pulls down to conceal appliances.

I have had toaster ovens for years and this one stinks on all accounts. Takes too long to toast. Impossible to clean trays. Don’t know why but even with Brillo you had better be strong! Dials are stupid arrangement. Difficult to see and use.

I bought this toaster oven a year or so ago & it quit working well. It doesn't cook food through anymore. The knobs are flimsy & no matter how high I turn them, it doesn't get hot enough to cook. Just ordered a digital toaster oven from another brand. Wouldn't get Oster again.

I Love this Oster W 4-slice Black Toaster, it is attractive, enhances my countertop and works like a charm. The size is perfect for toasting, heating small dishes.Cooks small side dishes, and avoids having to crank up the big oven.I am very pleased with its performance and recommend it highly if you are looking for a small toaster oven that works well and looks great.

Replacing previous Oster TO that lasted 15 years and worked perfectly (digital readout burned out in the end) Very disappointed with this one. Set at 400 degrees inside temp rises to almost 500 before dropping to 425. Set at 375, inside temp raises to 450 and after 10 minutes settles as 425ish.

Great little toaster oven for the money. Nothing fancy but does the job and I don’t have to turn on my oven to heat certain things that do poorly in the microwave.

Good looking appliance. Fast delivery and arrived in good condition.

I’ve only had it a few weeks and so far it works very well. Hope I can say that a year from now - at least. Appliances are supposed to last at least three years these days. I hope so, so it doesn’t end up in a land fill. Ask me again in a year.

Great price, product exceeds my expectations. I'm very happy.

Delivery time took 2 weeks, way long than other stores that you can get it in about 2 business days. Ordered before the holidays and got it afterwards and was too late for a gift. Decided to return the product, basically because the heating elements were exposed with no protection and that's a burning hazard for my wife and kids. The buttons were flimsy. The stainless steel looked cheaply made and I'm afraid it will rust. The plus was that it had 4 heating elements instead of two that most of its class have, but at least these have protective covers eliminating the burning hazard.

Thank you for supplying me with the most compact toaster oven of this type.It was an exhausting search

Great small baking energy savings purchase

It was too flimsy for the everyday use of a family so it was returned.

I bought this a couple of months ago. I have over the years bought several 4 slice toaster ovens. This is the best yet. Surprise it actually toasts evenly. I do agree that the crumb tray is a bit of a problem but easily adjusted to.

it's fine though there are some faults: when I open the door to get things out, I burn myself on the hot chrome: there’s no protection between the handle and the chrome. Also, turning the dial to turn the toaster off very easily moves it to the “stay on” position which can be dangerous.

From the description, this toaster oven seemed to meet all of the criteria AND it looked great. The problem was the operation. I was purchasing it for an older lady and she found the directions very confusing....so, I did not want to take the chance that she could not operate it properly. As a result, I returned it and are still looking for an oven that is SIMPLE to operate.
