After 2 years ...
This is an update of my earlier review written under the nom de web "screenname." After nearly two years, the stove is still functioning without need of repair. Having gotten to know it a little better, I now have a wish list of features that would greatly improve this model at little cost: Please make the knobs out of something that won't melt when exposed to vented air from the oven; please add little red LED lights for each burner knob, instead of one light for all burner knobs --- it's easy to turn the wrong knob and heat the wrong burner, esp. if your eyesight is poor or you are new to the stove; please make the knobs harder to turn so that they resist accidental contact without turning on; please design burners that are easy to level --- if you remove them for cleaning, they very likely won't be level when you put them back in (be sure not to mix the coils up as they prefer to be re-installed in the same hole they came from, apparently); please make the oven light stay on with the oven is on, not just when the element in the oven is on. Lastly and leastly, a great feature would be a safety cut-off circuit so that if one accidentally left the stove on and then went on vacation, the stove would automatically turn itself off at some point.

              adequate
I have had bad experiences with expensive digital ranges. There are a few burned meat loaves and cookies in my past. NOT my fault! This is a bad rep to have if you're a grandma. My intention in purchasing this product was to get away from that. The stove I wanted was difficult to find, so I was glad when I found it on the online Home Depot store. This type of range has been discontinued in many stores. I can see why. One has to be very careful of the dials that are located across the front. It is very easy to accidentally turn the burners on with one's torso! haha I wanted a simple, straight forward stove and that's what we have here. This product has no clock and no timer. This could be considered a CON by some modern (I choke on this word) users. And, the aforementioned dials across the front could also be considered a con by some. PROS: There is no guesswork about the temperature of the oven; There is a clear oven window; The oven light comes on automatically when the door is opened but can also be controlled by an on/off switch; I'm not sure of the consistency of the surface of the oven. It looks like Teflon or something. Whatever, it is very easy to clean; If necessary, the oven has a SELF CLEAN option. In short, it is just what I want! CONS: Cleaning the bowls under the burners is problematic. The elements are very hard to remove and hard to reattach. I'm sure this will change after further use. I am not new to this. I have purchased 4 ranges over time. I have been dazzled in the past by the all the bells and whistles that became available as digital technology evolved. Unfortunately, when the bells would not ding and the whistles would not sing, the repair people were not up to the challenge. None seemed to be trained in the area of dealing with a stove with a computerized brain. I think I paid too much for this product. For that reason, if I had to do it again, I might hesitate. But all in all, In my opinion, the PROS far outweigh the CONS. This simple, efficient stove meets my needs. And for THAT reason, I am satisfied that I made this purchase!

                  Great stove
The very most important part of my review will be on the purpose of a stove. I am a old school baker and cook. Cakes, pies, cookies, biscuits, cornbread and roasted meat came out perfect. Stove top also works very well I've used all four burners at one time. The self clean cycle does a great job (one pie leaked). The weight of the stove lends to its stability. The storage drawer is not as large as some, but this gives you added oven space. If properly assembled the drawer is not flimsy (I have bread pans and a cast iron pizza pan in mine). Be sure to level your stove, but this need to be done for any stove where the flooring is not level. The reason that I gave the stove 5 stars on the features is because of the lack of all the bells and whistles. After the repair bills became more than the purchase price of a stove that did have all the bells and whistles, I've decided that simplicity works best for me. A added plus to this stove is that while not being completely made in the USA it was designed, and assembled in the USA. The knobs on the front reduces the chance of burns reaching across hot eyes. I am very pleased with this stove I spent a lot of time researching for what I needed.

                        Excellent warranty service
Original burners were the wrong ones and were not flat, and were way too hot. After service tech replaced them with the proper ones it works great, like a stove top should. Oven light works (old oven light hadn't worked for a long time). Oven temp holds to the setting very closely. Food comes out cooked well. Very Happy!

About those knobs on the front ...
We chose this model because it has the knobs on the front and very simple electronics (hopefully). We didn't like the idea of having to reach over steaming pots or pans to reach controls on the back panel, as most models have these days, and we felt the simpler the electronics the better, because failure seems to be built into stoves that use circuit boards. We have only had this stove for two months, so can't comment on overall durability, but would like to point out that the broiler has already caused a control knob to melt along its bottom edge (see photo). I will recommend this model provisionally, but.... ("You'd think if we could put a man on the moon, we could make a stove that ... etc.")
