Issues with the miter table and instructions prevented me from giving this sander a higher rating. Table is held by one pivot point and one knob. Location of knob makes it hard to tighten and pivot point does not have a tight fit, thus the table can move with some pressure. Instructions are booklet size and photos are dark and low contrast. Looks like a copy. Had to contact Rockwell to have their customer service e-mail me a full size copy. Unit is in my cold garage and some of the labels are already coming off. On the good side, the 4" belt was easy to center. Has sufficient power to do most jobs. Miter gauge has a slight wobble (1-2 degrees) but still works well. Fits nicely on my workbench.

I mounted the sander on a 2' x 2' square table. i have used the sander to make a toy tractor and a peg game and it worked well. I plan to use it to make bigger projects as time permits. It worked very well. It was easy to assemble and mount and I am well satisfied with its performance. I will use it often.

I recently got the sander. I had no problem setting it up and learning the controls. While I have not had the opportunity to use it a lot it did the job intended. From looking at the unit it looks like the table can also be attached to the belt so the miter table can be used for belt sanding. There seems to be a hole for the mounting peg and the knob on the belt table. When I tried to put the miter table in that position the hole was tight. I did not have time yet to explorer if it actually works in that position. The miter table in the belt bed is not mentioned in the manual.

The sander itself works great and does just what I need. Two negatives: (1) The miter gauge is very cheap plastic; it works OK for a sander but I would prefer something beefier. (2) The instructions are barely adequate, illustrated by two pages of very small, dark, muddled photos.

I've only used it a few times so far, but it seems to be a pretty good tool.

Doesn't have Rockwell on it like picture, feel like I was sent a different model, Rio off

Compact and made well. Value was good. Unit is perfect for home shop.

Exactly what I needed. For the price you can't go wrong. I do some light wood working and didn't need to invest a bunch of money on something heavier.

I do lots of home projects and this will make most of them much easier to do than they were before I got it.

Package arrived damaged, but not bad, so I accepred delivery. Open it up, and the assembly instructions are not clear. Photos to assist the instuctions are dark and low contrast, making it difficult to understand what is going on. A minor cosmetic problem is where the plug meets the machine. Theres a plastic piece that is obviously broken. Follow the cord, and i found a nic in it. Further down, there’s dried white paint on the black cord. Obviously a used machine sold as if it was new. I looked online - Home Depot - and they’re out of stock. I’m on my way to return it now.

I've used this sander a couple of times and is well worth the money. It is heavy so you don't need to bolt it to a work table and does an excellent job sanding. The only issue that I've had with it is that the lock for the sanding disk table doesn't hold the best so it can change the angle on you if you push down too much.

Very pleased with this item! Quieter than my last one and more powerful. Lighter than my old one.

I had to replace my 30 year old Delta Sander with this and I am disappointed. Apparently no user friendly thought went into the design of this product.

Much better than sanding by hand. Takes off a lot of wood quickly for a quick touch up.
