I purchased a 25 pack of these cutting discs, and every single one of them flew apart when I started to use them. I went through 10 before I stopped before I got hurt!

Great cutting disc for the price
Fits common 7/8" arbor, makes thin cuts although it cuts slow with steel. It will wear down with use but for the price this is a great cut-off disc. This disc is made in China.

At one of my job sites an 18 wheeler ran over and smashed flat a culvert pipe at the end of the driveway. The pipe was a lot tougher than I thought and I could not pry it open. I pulled out my angle grinder with these cut off wheels and went through it like a hot knife through butter and opened it up.

I didn't have good luck with these. The cutting wheel that came with my grinder ran smooth and lasted for quite a while cutting 1" x 1/8" angle iron. I needed some more wheels so I bought one of these Type 1 Avanti Pro cutting wheels and a Type 27 Avanti Pro (the dish shaped one. I installed the Type 1 and powered on the angle grinder and just free running the tool vibrated like the wheel wasn't balanced. I removed and reinstalled it to make sure it was centered. Still vibrated. Tried cutting some material and on the first cut the wheel was jumping around then a large chunk flew off. What a waste. The Type 27 wasn't much better but was usable. I posted a review on it too. I'll pass on buying this brand in the future.

Cutting Remarks
With no major projects on the "to-do" list involving cutting of steel, but anxious to try out this cutting disk, I cut a number of slots in a piece of steel channel to evaluate its performance compared to my usual cutting disk. While installing the disk, it felt a little "looser" on the arbor and, when measured, the hole was about 0.001 inch larger than my usual disk, however, it did not appear to affect the operation or accuracy of the disk when cutting. I did note that it cuts a little slower than I am used to for similar disks and tended to leave "burn" marks and slag on the back side of the cut. For normal cutting this will not be a problem. If you are making small, finely detailed pieces as, for example, a sculpture, additional clean up of the cut edges may be necessary. Wear rate of the disk did not seem out of the expected range (this will vary with the type and thickness of material as well as how much "finesse" you use when cutting...not forcing the disk, but finding its "sweetspot").
I used the Avanti Thin Kerf Metal Cut-Off Disc to cut through a few 1/2 inch bolts and some angle iron. While it did complete the cuts and I did not experience any failures of the product, I did find that it cut slower than products by other manufacturers. The disk fit my 4-1/2 inch angle grinder with no problems and was held securely in the grinder hub mechanism.
