Easy to assemble the washer was different than the original one which caused it to leak from the stem.

I bought this version of the stem for American Standard because it inluded the adapter for the faucet handle, which had cracked on the old stem. The faucet works perfectly now. It shuts off with no drips.

Very easy to replace the old stem. The only complaint I would have is there were no instructions ...
Very easy to replace the old stem. The only complaint I would have is there were no instructions on how change stem to operate for hot and cold settings, and there is a way to do that. Other than that, it's a great replacement.

Works like a charm
Simple fix that saves putting in a new faucet. The only tricky thing is it has a part that converts it for use in another faucet. Makes doing a visual comparison with the old cartridge a little tricky. Once it is taken off the stem, they look identical.

Perfect fit.
Perfect fit but it's the 2nd time I replaced this in the last 10 years. In 2004 I redone the bathroom and installed American Standard hardware behind the tile. This is the second time it's parts malfunctioned in the last 11 years.prior to that I never had any issues so I give it 3 stars. For $10 I expect it to last 20 years.

Leaking substitute stem
After much time spent on trying to make this work, this is the first 3rd party stem that just would not stop leaking. Bought two and both leaked no matter which side I installed the stem.
