First one I got would not hold water. A lot of work to pack up and return. The second one we got did hold water and is still frozen. need a lot of boards, stakes and cinder blocks to hold, but so far so good. The package is hilarious because it says its a "portable ice rink." Trust me, there is nothing portable about it. It's a lot of work, but wroth it in the end as long as its cold enough.

Great for home Ice Rink!
I purchased this tarp from The Home Depot so that I could build a ice rink in my yard for my two boys. When I first received the tarp and rolled it out I noticed that not all of the seams were sealed properly and the braiding of the tarp was frayed and not to the standard of what I was expecting. I called The Home Depot’s customer service line and expressed my displeasure. They said that it must have been a manufactures defect and they would send me another tarp right away. One week later I had a new tarp and the quality of the tarp was excellent. They customer service was fast and efficient.
This hockey/ice rink tarp is very big and may take two people to roll out and lay properly on the ground. The quality and thickness of this tarp is great. I looked online at sheets of plastic and other tarps but they all were expensive and made of cheap material. The Home Depot got this right and am glad they are selling this product. It is great for making a home ice rink in your back yard and your family and friends will joy it in the winter months.

Terrible
Looked great when I rolled it out, but it did not hold the water. If you read the specs it says water resistant, meaning it is not designed to hold water unless it is -10. Do not buy this product!

I have built rinks for about 5 years and discovered this product. It is a perfect product for a rink that is more square than rectangle. Mine is 36x44. Other products for this type of dimension cost over $400. Now I double tarp over a basketball court. I basically buy a new one each year and use the old one as the under cover. My suggestion with any rink buyer is to fill when you have 3 consecutive days of freezing weather. Get your first 3-4 inches of ice on the base and you should be good for the year. I never noticed the water resistant tag, but assume unless there is a hole water cant get through.

wouldnt recommend for 'ice rink tarp'
Purchased for exactly what the description states - ICE RINK TARP. However after filling with water and watching it all drain through the seams I went back to the specifications and noticed it says 'leak resistant'. Had to line with another layer of leak proof material. I hope to return after ice thaws off it in the spring.

Waiting for cold weather.
I was a little skepticle in my purchase cause of all the other bad reviews. But I purchased it anyway. It was shipped to my house right when Home Deopt said it would be so cheers to that. I installed the liner and so far so good cause it's holding water. Now just need some really cold nights so it will freeze!!

The rink tarp is perfect and is priced fairly!
Thank you for offering this product. I have been looking all over for a tarp that was large enough and for the right price. I ordered the tarp online which was was easy and came to our home quicker than I expected! Thank you again!

DO NOT BUY!! DOES NOT HOLD WATER!
I cannot express in g-rated terms just how angry and disappointed I am in this product. It took two solid days to fill my rink and 24 hours for it all to seep away. This product has one job-- hold water - and it does not do that. Now I have to roll it up, take it back to store, hope I can return it, look for another (expensive) alternative and start the hoses again. All with winter ticking away...

The product looked good, but did not hold water.
We liked the look of the white tarp for our skating rink, however once we filled it it did not hold the water.
