I actually purchased the Dekorra rock for use as scenery on a garden railroad. I discovered the hobby at a local zoo and decided a garden railroad would make a cool landscape feature in my otherwise boring yard. I used the fake rock to create a mountain feature with a tunnel through it. It worked great. The rock is fairly sturdy and made out of a plastic resin similar to yard furniture. The actual dimensions are 30"L x 29"W x 14"H with a 8" x 10" x 14" bulge on one of the corners. It has a very realistic textured exterior that makes it look like granite. It is hollow inside and has four molded flanges with holes at the corners for staking it into the ground. It should have no trouble withstanding the elements, but it is designed to be used as a cover not a seat. It would likely collapse if you had kids sitting or climbing on it. The rock was perfect for my application and it would function well for its intended use. You could also use it for landscape decoration. A comparably sized piece of granite would probably weigh around 400 lbs. This thing only weighs 12.

Look real. A good alternative to real boulders.

The color is good. I used it to cover up an ugly grinder and it worked well for it. To me, it still looks a little like a fake rock -- that's why it didn't get 5 stars.

This model covered our septic cover with junction box beautifully. Don't forget to add vents if necessary.

Fits great. People actually think it is real!

It makes a great cover for my septic ,I shopped around and this was the best price and the color is just fine so dont pay more for the gray . I put a bird bath next to it to brake it up . I rated 4 and not 5 stars because I dont know how it will rate over time .

This faux rock looks very natural. The size is great for the project I bought if for. It looks great. The downside, is that the top of the product is a bit too weak. It would break too easily with pressure. It would be perfect if it was made a bit thicker. I would still recommend it because it really does look great in my yard.

Was trying to cover/hide a 30” x 30” square concrete well pit but dimension of the rock I ordered wouldn’t fit over it. I wish it would have fit because it was a beautiful fake rock but had to return it.

This worked perfectly for covering up my septic lid.

Looks great and meets our need! Home Depot gets the best price for this item. Very happy with the purchase!

Exactly what I expected and needed

This product worked perfectly as the cover I needed.

Fits well only wish a little more height.

Looks great in the perennial garden. Turning them in different directions caused them to look like two different rocks. Sturdy, just what I was looking for.

Shipped quickly, box damaged, but item unaffected. Looks good, installed easily, and is adequately sturdy, including sidewalls, which received some criticism from other reviewers. I am using it as a cover for a grinder pump, 25" in diameter. I would buy it again if I needed it.

The Dekorra Rock cover looks great by our pond and hides some electrical outlets. The color is a solid grey though. I thought that there would be a little tan mixed in based on the picture.

The rock was what I expected. Covers septic lid well.

If you are just looking for something that looks nice,but not designed to be inspected closely, this might work for you. Be aware, though, that the plastic on the sides is very thin (maybe 1/16th of an inch).. If you put you hand inside the boulder, flat up against the inner wall, you can READILY see your hand's shadow THROUGH the boulder 'wall'. The plastic on the top of the boulder is a little thicker. . If you tried to stand on it, you'd crush the entire thing like a flimsy plastic cup. So, don't confuse these boulders with the high end type that are made of a blend of cement and fiberglass. Kids (and adults) can climb and sit on those, and wind can't blow them around since they are 3X heavier. There is a reason the Dekorra boulders come with stakes. Without stakes, a strong wind will have it sailing into the neighbor's yard!

We got this product very quickly and installed it with no problem.
