Very easy to install looks beautiful

I have waited to give this a fair review since I had read lots of common negative reviews and concerns with this door. I purchased and installed a front and rear door for my home in March of 2015. I noticed a lot of reviews stated a rust concern especially around the metal spindle bases. This appears to be from the excess welding slag during the manufacturing process. Which tends to rust quicker. There were also reviews of the brass finish looking unattractive after awhile. This prompted me to take preventative measures to remedy these small issues. I bought clear spray paint (which there are many options in the paint department) and with the glass and screens removed carefully sprayed a small amount around all bases and cleared the brass hardware before installing. As a result I have had no rust issues in two years ownership. Yes, I agree this should not have to be done to remedy a products shortcomings but at this price point I made a wise decision. The door is a very pretty design and was priced well below others. The door is extremely strong in design and when locked it is impossible for an intruder to jerk or pry it open. In the summer my family feels safe leaving this locked and being able to look out. I am happy with my purchase overall with these simple and cheap corrections.

love the door...looks fantastic. wasn't too hard to put up. love having the optional screen or glass panels. the handle could be much better. after installation we needed to flip the handle over, seems simple enough.....but a piece was bent, and every time the door closed the latch got stuck inside the door. kudos to home depot for going out of their way to help find a replacement handle in the store so i could replace it...but i would still say, the only handles that fit this door are fairly cheaply made...i feel i will be replacing it again in the next couple of years.

I am absolutely delighted with my new Grisham Heritage steel entry door. It adds beauty as well as security and superior protection against wind storms. This upgrade was well worth the investment. My neighbors have been highly complimentary, too.

One of the doors do not open fully. It is hard to get boxes or shoping bags through it.

There is a problem with the stopper that does not allow the door to open all the way. I don't know how to loosen it up so it will open wider.

Screen doesn’t fit adequately when you tighten screws gats are able to go between screen and the door as the screen doesn’t fit snugly against the door to stop gnats from coming in. Plus every time you open or close the door the screen rattles against the door screen as about a 1/4” to small and can barely seal as since the screen doesn’t securely tighten down bugs come in and wind makes it rattle very sloppy work

We are very happy with the door. The only issue was the brass colored handle. All of our other door handles are brushed nickel & we would have preferred being able to choose that color. We love the double sided keyed lock!

Attractive and easy to install.

I bought this storm door 18 years ago. I just replace it. I love the quality of it. It keeps the heat in and when I put the ac on it keeps the house so cool. I also love that it comes with a screen. I give it a ten

Fix and finish was good but product needs improving. Accessories not planned for and has no prepared mounting holes. Since this is a steel door, drilling and tapping was necessary. Too much for an average home install.

If you install door closer at top of door it covers up a screw needed to be used to switch between screen and glass. Had to change swing of door because handle on security door hit handle on prime door and wouldn't allow security door to close tightly. Had no other choice but to reverse swing. Not happy with that.

Horrible instructions for installing.

The door came with missing details, which more then a month we can't get from home depot! Instead of getting them to us, home deport has offer to purchase it for additional $17!!the quality of the door is lower now than it was in similar old door.

Door seems to be of good quality. It adds beauty to the door opening, as well as security. Installation on a scale of 1 to 10 , 10 being the most difficult, I would give it a (4). Keep in mind if opening is not square installation becomes a headache.
