Spacious and Functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my refrigerator 5 yrs ago. This particular model had issues with the compressor and it finally gave out. LG sent someone out to repair it in a timely fashion and I do not expect any issues for many more years. Their service was seamless. Love my fridge!!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New fridge. Seems to have features needed. When entering model # it defaulted to one above. Only issue is door handles are not aligned correctly. Lowes delivery person tried but still off. How do we get corrected?

      Quick, professional repair.
      After 6 years of fine use, our refer had an issue. The tech came prepare to fix the issue and did a great job!

        Very cool refrigerator
        We have had this LG refrigerator for more than 6 years now and have purchased a similar one for a rental house. It is easy to keep clean, the interior is well lit and organizing the contents is easy with the shelves and bins that come with the refrigerator. The only drawback is that it has "frozen up" on several occasions causing the refrigerator section to stop cooling. The remedy is simple but annoying. Shutting off the refrigerator for two days and removing the contents corrects the problem.

          Good when it works
          The refridge is good when it works but very unreliable. In 6 years we have had to have it serviced at least 3 times with major parts having to be replaced on two occasions. Lost food on each service due to tempature.

              Nice and big!
              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of space! It's hard to find one this big anymore, so it's a great fridge. The shelves are also adjustable which is really nice for big casserole dishes.

                Good, but can be great!
                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator looks great. It would be a fantastic buy if it weren't for the infamous defect of it's compressor. To the credit of LG though, they really do stand by their product as they totally changed out my compressor at no cost to me. Supposedly, they have corrected the defect. So far so good.

                  Nothing But a Headache
                  We've had this fridge for 5 years now and it's been nothing but trouble. At the two year mark, we had to replace the compressor, which LG did pay for. After the four year mark, we've had to manually defrost the fridge twice within 6 months because of frost buildup on the fan, which affected the cooling. That meant spending money at the store to buy a couple of giant coolers and, of course, lots of ice, as well as living out of those coolers for 5 days until all was defrosted and up and running again. Now, at the five-year mark, the compressor is out again and we have decided to just pitch the darn thing. We are back to living out of coolers again for the third time in about 8 months. I'm ready to just throw it (and myself, haha) out the window.

                    Was great until it wasn’t!
                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have bought many LGs in the past 25 years and never had an issue until now! 4 year old refrigerator and the compressor stops working and it’s taking forever to get service! It’s no wonder why our local appliance store won’t carry LG!

                        Great design, horrible compressor and ice maker!
                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this fridge for just under 5 years. The engineering of the overall fridge design is great. Love the lower freezer and french door design. The biggest issue I have had is that the compressor has had to be completely replaced 2 times. The ice maker has had to be replaced 3 times. That is horrible. This fridge had a known bad compressor and all i can say is thank God I bought the extended warranty or I would have been forced to scrap this fridge years ago. The failed compressors were a huge inconvenience and disappointment. I have other LG appliances and they are quite good - but not this fridge. Mine was also not a lemon - there is a known issue with the compressor LG used in this and other model fridge units. The ice maker also failed and is extremely flimsy and not robust at all.

                              Garbage.
                              Purchased this unit from Home Depot in 2015. Since then it has needed repair 4 times. I am currently waiting on a service call (1 1/2 week wait) for the lastest malfuction. Total trash. I will never purchase another LG product as long as I live and will leave this review everywhere possible to warn others. I take care of my mother who is 89 and can not leave the house. The wait time for the service is a boardline crime not to mention how many times we have lost all the food. If you feel you most buy anything LG have a backup or you will be sorry. Total waste of money.

                                3 years old and 3 repairs for same issue
                                We bought this January of 2016, and now July of 2019 the automatic defrost has stopped working for the third time. We've had it repaired three different times for the same issue (ice build up on the upper fan because it wasn't defrosting, then the fan keeps hitting the ice & eventually the fan motor breaks). We could manually defrost it every 6 months and waste the hundred dollars worth of food that's in the fridge when it decides to malfunction, but we've decided to get a new fridge. This time it will definitely not be an LG fridge.

                                  Bought this fridge in April 2016, had to replace the compressor last year September 2018. It just failed again July 2019, less than 1 year later. Paid $2,000.00 for this thing, and now considering completely replacing it. Not sure I will purchase another LG refrigerator ever again. This model is discontinued, but I've been bitten once, now twice shy. I would not recommend LG refrigerators based on my experience.

                                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge just under 4 years ago, replacing a 16 year old fridge that worked fine we just wanted an upgrade. over the 4 year stretch it made a little racket from time to time but really nothing to be concerned over. Then last night, absolute failure. Compressor started making a bunch of noise and everything in the fridge is spoiled as its not cool in the fridge and not cold in the freezer. We can't find anyone local to work on it as it came from a big box dealer. So now what? Out a few grand or is there a way for you to actually stand behind your product?

                                      Life aint good long term
                                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator in November 2015. It was large and spacious and cooled well for as long as it lasted, which was a short while. While running well, it used to make these occasional loud noises for about 10 seconds and stop,was otherwise very quiet. By September 2018, which is 2 years and 10 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling, a lot of food was spoilt. It sounded like its running, but it was not cooling. The linear compressor needed replacement. It replaced a refrigerator that was running well for 30 years. What a mistake!

                                        Disappointed
                                        I purchased this refrigerator exactly one and a half years ago. I understand that there is a one year warranty but for the ice maker valve to wear out so quickly is disappointing. I just happened to move the refrigerator for a little cleaning and found a huge pool of water. My floor was damaged but fortunately it sits above the furnace room so I had no lower level damage. As warped as the floor is I think it had been happening for a while. You just don't get quality with anything it seems.

                                          Working perfectly, lol vet the easy slide drawers in both the refrigerator and freezer. The automatic ice maker tray is nice and big, perfect size cubes. Very happy with this purchase so far!

                                                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Balanced, rebalanced, adjusted, serviced. Runs quiet for a few days them back to humming and loud buzzing. The bottom drawer handle also feels like something that will be the first thing to give.

                                                          Refrigerator fan made a clunking sound at three months and finally stopped working because it froze over (the freezer still worked). Repair was made (the problem was a known design defect according to the technician) and nine months later the refrigerator failed in the same way. A second repair was never made. After two months of the service provideer not being able to get parts, I got my money back. Other problems were the door flange stopped working, a shelf bracket was broken, the interior white plastic was water-stained, and the stainless steel front was difficult to keep clean. Customer service is in the Phillippines and they are clueless.

                                                            I bought this refrigerator in October 2015. 15 months later - so conveniently 3 months out of war...
                                                            I bought this refrigerator in October 2015. 15 months later - so conveniently 3 months out of warranty - it broke. I am still (4 weeks later) trying to get it fixed with my Home Depot extended warranty (terrible; don't get it - took a week to get the repair people out, they ordered a part, which was delivered on the 20th and they haven't bothered to come fix the fridge; Home Depot only calls them, but takes no other action; 4 weeks with no fridge and 2 kids). In sum, when the repairman came to check the fridge, he told me it was a dud. LG's response after telling me to contact them from my original complaint? Oh....you need to deal with the extended warranty company. In other words - too bad we sold you a bad refrigerator OR....don't expect a product to last longer than the warranty. Take note people. If you don't mind short lifespans, then by all means, buy LG. If you expect your refrigerator to actually last beyond a year - look somewhere else. And if you want ANY service - don't use either Home Depot or LG.
