This product is great, looks great when install correctly. A lot of work cutting it out-fitting it right, tightly. Should last several life times. The first kit sent to me had an issue in that the 60" X 72" back panel was polished on both sides. I hadn't noticed that until after cutting out the openings for a soap dish and the Swanstone recess shelf because the back was dusty looking duller than the other side. When i flipped it over to clean the backside before fitting it (to see if it was cut correctly) is when i learned the back had been polished also making it undesirable for adhering it to the shower stall, (using it for shelving in kitchen) an so, i was forced to order another full kit. Not happy in that respect, however, i strongly recommend the Swanstone solid surface Bath and shower kits. Should last forever.

Not what I was expecting given the price.
Surface looks good but is paper thin (literally). Thickness is 1/4", quite flimsy, requiring great care during installation due to tendency to flex and bend which can lead to breakage. Seriously, an acrylic liner seems more stable. Definitely not a value at over $1000 for a 3 sided 60"x30"x72". However, once installed, it doesn't look too bad. Can't speak to long term viability, but be careful what you use to clean (no abrasives, pads). If looking for a stone solution, would definitely recommend something else, preferably solid stone or a quartz/resin composite. Hey Home depot, better specs would be highly recommended (e.g. thickness, surface thickness, material type (surface coating over composite material) rather than a single useless phrase ("composite").

Holding solid for 4 years
Had a poor tile job go bad on us. Stripped sheet rock to studs, put up concrete board, sealed with the pink frosting stuff used to seal shower pans. Then cut and glued up swanstone product. Kind of tricky to hold in place until the glue dried. Built a scaffolding, basically a 2x4 framed wall across the tub/shower opening. Used some boards cut to length to push the back piece against the wall. Then tore down the scaffolding and glued up the side pieces using boards cut to length to push against each other. The concrete board plus the swanstone thickness added together ended up flush with the sheet rock on the top and side edges. A little work with concrete mud and fiberglass mesh tape and it looks like it was built that way from the start. Swanstone cleans easy and have had no issues so far - 4 years and counting. More work than a fiber glass insert, more money for the material than most surfaces, but once it is in, it is very easy to keep clean. To us it is worth the extra money and effort, but may not be for some.
